SIAN Expresses Deep Sorrow over the Devastating Bhote Koshi Flood and Calls for Humanitarian Support

Urgent Appeal for Rescue, Relief and Rehabilitation for Bhote Koshi Flood-Affected Communities :
Society for Integrated Allied Nepal (SIAN) expresses its deep sorrow over the devastating flash flood in the Bhote Koshi River, Rasuwa District, which has caused significant loss of lives, property and infrastructure in Timure, Syafrubesi and surrounding areas.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones and express our solidarity with all affected communities. We urgently call for the immediate search, rescue and safe reunification of missing and affected people.
The flood has severely affected homes, roads, bridges, hydropower facilities and other public and private infrastructure, disrupting people's daily lives, transportation, communication, livelihoods and access to essential services. Children, women, older people and other vulnerable groups are particularly in need of immediate protection and humanitarian assistance.

The affected communities urgently need:
🔹 Search, rescue and safe evacuation
🔹 Food and safe drinking water
🔹 Temporary shelter and essential non-food items
🔹 Emergency health care and medicines
🔹 Hygiene and sanitation supplies
🔹 Protection and support for children and vulnerable people
🔹 Psychosocial support
🔹 Livelihood recovery and rehabilitation assistance

Given this humanitarian crisis, SIAN calls for immediate, coordinated, collective action from the Federal Government, Provincial Governments, Local Governments, security agencies, the Nepal Red Cross, national and international NGOs, civil society organizations, development partners, the private sector, and volunteers.
We ask all stakeholders to work together to ensure timely rescue, effective relief, protect vulnerable people, support early recovery, and support long-term rehabilitation of the affected communities.
SIAN stands in solidarity with the people affected by the Bhote Koshi flood.
"Let us join hands to save lives, provide relief, and support the recovery and rebuilding of affected communities."
