We are thrilled to share that we successfully accomplished the 14 years of service through volunteerism in Nepal. Apart from our service to education, entrepreneurship development, independent living, and empowerment trainings to persons with disabilities, we have also started the collaboration with SS Music school to train persons with disabilities on various aspects of music and musicianship like singing, instruments ETC. And the good news to share here is The first batch of 6 months Octapad and Madal training for visually impaired has been successfully completed. Sharing the glimpses of certificate distribution and graduation ceremony recently held where 90% of trainees also got jobs as musicians. In fact, this new initiative of music schooling has unlocked their career path for independent living! ,

Do you know? Today October 15 marks the Wrold White Cane Safety day. The white cane is more than just a mobility tool — it’s a symbol of independence, confidence, and equal access for people who are blind or visually impaired. For years, our organization Bright Star Society has been providing white canes free of cost to individuals with visual disabilities across Nepal — helping them move safely, independently, and with dignity. there are still many unreached and unserved people and communities where visually impaired people are waiting for this simple yet life-changing support tool, and we are committed to helping more such individuals as much as we can Ensuring no one is left behind in the journey of accessibility and mobility.

Warm Wishes and a happy and prosperous Dashain from Bright Star Society!! Every year in Festive time, we reach out with love and deliver food packs to various families of persons with disabilities, children, women, and senior citizens who cannot return to their villages due to different circumsantances and challenges or those who do not have family/support system to celebrate. This year too, despite the challenges and transition followed by recent uprising, price hike and onbstructions of the roads due to floods and landslides, we continued this service—because care cannot wait. To our beneficiaries, supporters, donors, and partners—thank you for walking this journey with us, and making this service more inclusive to reach the most vulnerable ones. Happy Dashain 2082! , ,
