राष्ट्रिय आदिवासी जनजाति अपाङ्ग स्वरोजगार महिला संघ नेपाल (National Indigenous Disabled Self-Employment Women Association Nepal ) द्वारा सामाजिक विकास कार्यालय, बागमती प्रदेशको सहयोगमा आदिवासी महिला तथा अपाङ्गता भएका महिलाहरूका लागि आयोजित ३ दिने बुनाई (Crochet) तालिम जेठ ३–५ गते २०८३ सम्म सफलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न भएको छ।

यस तालिममार्फत सहभागीहरूलाई इयरिङ, किचेन तथा टोपी लगायतका हस्तकलात्मक सामग्री बनाउन आवश्यक बुनाई सीप प्रदान गरिएको थियो। तालिमले सहभागीहरूमा सिर्जनशीलता, आत्मविश्वास तथा स्वरोजगारका अवसरहरू बढाउन महत्वपूर्ण योगदान पुर्‍याएको छ। 🧶
तालिमको सहजीकरण आदिवासी अपाङ्गता भएकी महिला Anu Rai ज्यूले गर्नुभएको थियो। उहाँको अनुभव, सीप र प्रेरणादायी सहजीकरणले सहभागीहरूलाई नयाँ कुरा सिक्न, आत्मनिर्भर बन्न तथा आफ्ना क्षमताहरूलाई अझ मजबुत बनाउन उत्साहित गरेको थियो। यस कार्यक्रमले आदिवासी महिला तथा अपाङ्गता भएका महिलाहरूको सीप विकास, आर्थिक सशक्तीकरण तथा सामाजिक समावेशीकरणलाई प्रवर्द्धन गर्ने उद्देश्य राखेको थियो। सहभागीहरूले तालिमबाट सिकेका सीपहरूलाई भविष्यमा आयआर्जन तथा स्वरोजगारका माध्यमका रूपमा उपयोग गर्न सक्ने विश्वास व्यक्त गरेका छन्।

कार्यक्रमलाई सफल बनाउन सहयोग गर्नुहुने सामाजिक विकास कार्यालय, बागमती प्रदेश, सम्पूर्ण सहभागीहरू, सहकार्यकर्ता तथा सहयोगी व्यक्तित्वहरू प्रति NID SEWA Nepal हार्दिक आभार व्यक्त गर्दछ। 🙏

🔙 Throwback Update | Orientation Workshop

We, National Indigenous Disabled Self-Employment Women Association Nepal (NID SEWA Nepal), are pleased to share a glimpse from the Orientation Workshop of the 25th Asia Preparatory Meeting on UN Human Rights Mechanisms and Procedures Relating to Indigenous Peoples, held on 23rd March 2026 in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

This session was specially designed for newcomers to deepen their understanding of international human rights systems and procedures related to Indigenous Peoples. It served as a crucial learning platform for emerging organizations like Nid Sewa Nepal Nepal and young Indigenous advocates stepping into this movement.

The workshop provided a broader global perspective on Indigenous rights and strengthened participants’ knowledge of key frameworks and mechanisms, including UNPFII, EMRIP, SRIP, UNDRIP, and CEDAW General Recommendation No. 39.📘

While many participants had prior exposure to these mechanisms, the orientation enhanced clarity and provided practical insights on how to engage with them in a more professional and effective way for advocacy.🤝

This experience marks an important step forward in strengthening the capacity of Indigenous women with disabilities to engage at national and international levels and to advocate for inclusive human rights.

“Ring the Bell for Just and Prosperous Economies”
On 26 March 2026, an inspiring event titled “Women • Leadership • Action for Just and Prosperous Economies,” convened by UN Women Nepal, Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), International Finance Corporation (IFC), and UN Global Compact Nepal, brought together leaders from across sectors to advance gender equality and inclusive economies.

✨ The event began with a symbolic bell ringing ceremony, representing a shared commitment toward gender equality and inclusive economic opportunities for all women.

💬 Through powerful opening remarks and keynote speeches from national and international leaders, the program highlighted the importance of gender-smart finance, women’s leadership, and inclusive economic systems.

📊 A series of presentations showcased innovative practices in promoting women’s economic empowerment especially through financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, and gender-responsive investments.

🤝 Representation from National Indigenous Disabled Self-Employment Women Association Nepal (NID SEWA Nepal) added a powerful voice, emphasizing that true economic justice must include Indigenous women with disabilities ensuring inclusion, accessibility, and intersectional equity in all economic spaces.
💪 Because empowering women is not optional it is essential to building inclusive, resilient, and prosperous economies.

🌿 Representation Matters |Grassroot voices from Nepal🌏

We are proud to share that Ms. Niruta Magar, a young Indigenous woman with a disability and Communication & Advocacy Officer of National Indigenous Disabled Self-Employment Women Association Nepal(NID SEWA Nepal), is representing our organization and regional network of IPs and IPWDs at the 25th Asia Preparatory Meeting on UN Human Rights Mechanisms and Procedures Relating to Indigenous Peoples held from 23rd–27th March 2026 in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

This important platform brings together Indigenous leaders, activists, and advocates from across Asia to strengthen engagement with UN human rights mechanisms.

Her participation marks a significant step toward amplifying the voices of Indigenous Peoples especially Indigenous women and girls with disabilities, who continue to face multiple and intersecting forms of discrimination.

Through this engagement, we aim to:
🔹Raise critical issues affecting Indigenous persons with disabilities
🔹Advocate for inclusive policies and human rights protections
🔹Promote economic empowerment and leadership of women with disabilities
🔹Ensure no one is left behind in regional and global discussions
