As part of the GARIMA-II Project, the first interaction meeting with Dhami/Pujari was successfully conducted across all 8 wards of Mellekh Rural Municipality- Achham.
A total of 253 Dhami/Pujari participated in the discussions.
These meetings provided a valuable platform to explore existing beliefs, practices, and perceptions surrounding menstruation and menstrual discrimination. It also created opportunities to identify pathways for positive change through dialogue, collaboration, and community-led action🙂🙂.

Anemia screening for school-going adolescent girls is underway across schools in Mellekh Rural Municipality under the GARIMA-II Project. 🩺✨

Through this initiative, we expect to reach and benefit approximately 1,200 young menstruating girls—helping to detect anemia early and promote better health, nutrition, and overall well-being.🎒🩸

A huge thanks to the Health Section of Mellekh Rural Municipality for their incredible coordination and support in making this happen! 🙌

Under the SABAL Project, a VIA screening campaign was successfully conducted across all 9 wards of Triveni Rural Municipality, Bajura to promote the well-being of women and support early diagnosis and prevention of cervical cancer.

Nearly 690 women were screened in the campaign. During the screening, several VIA-positive cases were detected and referred for further management. Cases including uterine prolapse and other reproductive health issues were also identified. In addition, many women received counseling and support regarding reproductive health concerns, including menstrual health, family planning, and reproductive tract infections.

This achievement would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of Triveni Rural Municipality, the Health Section, all health workers, community mobilizers, and participants. Their cooperation and commitment made this intervention meaningful and impactful for hundreds of women.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed directly and indirectly to the success of this important initiative.
