With the successful completion of our first event, "Digi Plus - Literacy Campaign for Digital Health in Nepal," we are happy to invite you to our second event as part of our campaign. Our event will revolve around initiating virtual discussions on digital connectivity for efficient healthcare. where our guest speaker, Dr. Pyakurel, will discuss different dimensions of digital health and the initiation of the concept of a healthcare card in Nepal.

Digi Plus Campaign (Literacy Campaign for Digital Health in Nepal)
- First event summary -

The virtual talk on "Telemedicine: Current efforts and challenges in Nepal was organized by We for Health, Nepal in coordination with the Telemedicine Society of Nepal was successfully conducted on February 12th 2024. The talk covered the history of telemedicine in Nepal, efforts made by the government, private and development sectors, challenges faced, and possible solutions.

The guest speaker, Dr. Uday Koirala, highlighted the need for establishing telemedicine resource centers, creating steering committees, incorporating telemedicine into educational curriculum, providing training and mentoring for healthcare workers, and maintaining a respectful and ethical environment. The event was successful in raising awareness about the potential and challenges of telemedicine in Nepal, with 50 attendees participating in the discussion.
