Gentle Heart Foundation A Heart for the People of Nepal – “Repairer of Broken Hearts” The GHF was founded by Arjun, a man who had himself been orphaned at the age of 11.

After fending for his two younger sisters for half a year, he was noticed by a lady who sent him to an orphanage in Kathmandu - providing them shelter, sustenance and love. From this personal experience of abandonment and desperation transformed by another's simple kindness, came the vision to start a home for children of similar circumstances. Happy Birthday to two true Warriors !

We are happy to celebrate these two warrior's birthdays together. Both of them are example of never giving up spirit. They are leading a team in Handicraft and Jewelry department dedicatedly. It's been long and beautiful journey with them. All the sister from Recovery Program praises their patience and handicrafts creativity and teaching skills. This year Budhanilkantha Municipality conducted entrepreneurship development program where Paru ( Name changed) got an opportunity to take 30 days knitting training and Sharmila (name changed) got 60 days sewing and cutting training. Both are inspiration to all.

Paru shared, 'I am encouraged by the birthday wishes. I am not perfect, but I am learning every day. I feel like an elder sister to everyone. It has been nine years with the GHF team, and this journey has been a wonderful opportunity to learn rather than to teach, and to become more self-reliant.'

Sharmila shared, "This is the warm love of GHF. We always experience a welcoming, caring, and family-like environment here. I am continually learning new things, and GHF has given us many opportunities to grow. I am truly grateful for all the support and encouragement I have received. I have also been blessed with the opportunity to attend various training programs, which have helped me develop new skills.'

Happy Birthday Ahaan !

Our little boy from Recovery Program celebrated his first birthday today. We are overjoyed to mark this special milestone with him. Sahara (name changed), despite being a young mother, lovingly cares for her son. Although the incident deeply affected her, his smile continues to brighten her life. She is grateful to have her son, who brings her hope and strength each day.

Recovery Program is dedicated to the transformation journey of young girls and women who have suffered from traumatic sexual violence and abuse which is achieved through education, empowerment, and skill development training that helps them to reintegrate into society with dignity.

Prevention is better than cure !
We are pleased to share that fire extinguishers have been successfully installed at the GHF Recovery Program, Inn, and Children Home to enhance the safety and protection of everyone in our care. Along with the installation, staff and residents were provided with essential information on fire safety and the proper use of fire extinguishers, including: Identifying different types of fires, understanding when and how to use a fire extinguisher, Following the PASS method:
• Pull the pin
• Aim at the base of the fire
• Squeeze the handle
• Sweep from side to side
This initiative strengthens our commitment to creating a safer environment for all. Together, we can be prepared and respond effectively in case of emergencies.

Happy Birthday Aruna !

Aruna (name changed) is a compassionate girl who loves caring for others. She has a lovely daughter whom she is nurturing well. When she came to the Recovery Program, she was broken and traumatized. Now, we see joy on her face and transformation in her life. She is recovering from the wounds of her past and developing new skills. She happily celebrates her birthday and the progress she has made in her journey toward healing. She shares, "I would like to thank GHF for all the opportunities given to me here. I believe that God has a purpose for my life and led me to this place. I have now completed two years at GHF, and my daughter and I are safe here. Thank you for taking such good care of us."

Heartiest congratulations on winning the Poem Competition held at the school of one of our children on the occasion of World Environment Day 2026. On Friday fun day, we held a debate competition at the Recovery Program on the topic, “Education is Greater Than Money.” All the participants enthusiastically took part in the competition and shared their views and reasons on the topic. The activity was both fun and educational, helping participants develop critical thinking and brainstorming skills. To encourage and motivate them, the winners were also rewarded for their outstanding performance.

Happy Birthday Arpan !

Little Arpan is a true warrior. From the moment he was born, his health condition was critical, and he remained hospitalized for nearly a month. Today, he has recovered well and received a new life. His mother is deeply grateful to GHF and often shares how difficult life would have been if they had not been here. On his birthday she shares, "I am so happy that Arpan has completed one year. It feels unbelievable how quickly time has passed. This past year has brought so many transformations and meaningful changes in our lives. Through this journey, I truly feel that God had a purpose in bringing me here. Thank you Gentle Heart for supporting and caring both of us."

Happy Birthday Aashika !

We recently celebrated the birthday of a lovely little girl from our children’s home, Aashika. She is originally from Nuwakot district and came to Gentle Heart Children Home two months ago. Due to serious health problems, she was not well cared, so she and her brother were placed here by the local government to ensure they receive proper care and have a brighter future. We were delighted to celebrate her 6th birthday, for the first time in her life with her extended family at GHCH.

Gentle Heart Foundation is dedicated to providing love, care, and support to vulnerable children. With a vision of creating a nurturing environment where every child can grow and flourish, our program has become a source of hope for many children facing difficult circumstances.

We invite you to join us in this journey of holistic development, as even the smallest act of kindness can make a meaningful difference in their lives. We also humbly ask for your continued prayers as we prepare for the upcoming academic year, trusting in God’s provision for every need.

Happy Birthday to All !

We celebrated birthday of Prakriti (name changed) and Amar and Aakriti. On the celebration, we are grateful for their courage and resilience to move ahead in lives. They are an example for never give up in their wife. Both mother are raising their child gracefully.

On the celebration, Prakriti (name changed) shared, "Over the past seven years at Gentle Heart Foundation, I’ve been supported in every aspect of my life by God and GHF. During this time, I’ve gained valuable skills, education, maintained good health, and had the joy of raising my daughter with love and care. GHF has always stood by me, every step of the way."

Mother of Amar shared," God and GHF have supported and guided me in raising Amar. I am truly grateful to GHF for giving us this opportunity in our lives, and I sincerely thank God and GHF for their constant support."
