Nepal Teacher Training Innovation's mission is to provide effective and intensive trainings to encourage critical thinking, creativity, and problem solving in Nepal's schools. NTTI provides intensive teacher training and follow up support to teachers working in government run schools located in some of the most remote and resource poor parts of Nepal. Together we raise awareness among girls ages 1
0 to 14 about health, safety,empowerment, and self advocacy. A Training of Trainers (TOT) component provides a way for talented teachers, especially female teachers, to become Master Trainers, school site mentors, and agents of change in their communities. NTTI’s goal is to encourage greater levels of critical thinking and creativity in the classroom. Teachers learn the importance of creating a safe, child-friendly learning environment, become proficient with disciplinary techniques other than physical punishment, and become aware of the unique needs of female students.
