“The true work of art is but a shadow of the divine perfection.”
— Michelangelo
9–11 April 2026 will be remembered as one of the most inspiring chapters in the continuing education journey of NSID.
Over these three extraordinary days, we had the privilege of hosting the “Michelangelo of Soft Tissues in Dentistry,” Dr Ricardo Kern, all the way from Brazil.
What unfolded was far beyond a workshop. It was a masterclass in precision, biology, and artistry. Every concept, every demonstration, every interaction reflected a deep respect for tissues, for patients, and for the profession itself.
Dr Kern has a rare gift. He simplifies the complex, makes the invisible visible, and bridges science with art in a way that transforms how we think and practice.
More than the techniques, it was his humility, generosity, and genuine love for Nepal that touched us deeply. This was knowledge shared with heart. This was true knowledge philanthropy.
To every participant who brought curiosity, openness, and energy into the room, thank you. You made this experience alive.
On behalf of NSID, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr Ricardo Kern for inspiring us, guiding us, and leaving behind a lasting impact.
This is how dentistry evolves. Together.
With deep gratitude,
NSID – Nepalese Society of Implant Dentistry
