The ๐๐ค๐๐๐๐จ ๐ค๐ ๐พ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ provincial kick-off meeting was held on 19 May 2026 in Janakpur, Madhesh Province.
Funded by the European Union in Nepal and led by FCA Nepal in partnership with Dalit Lives Matter Global Alliance (DLMGA) and Shanta Foundation (SF), the Voices of Change project aims to strengthen Nepalโs Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) by creating opportunities for marginalized youth, women, Dalit, and LGBTIAQ+ community through skills development, entrepreneurship, and cultural expression.
Representatives from provincial and local governments, civil society, media, youth groups, and creative artists came together in the meeting to discuss ways to build a more inclusive and sustainable creative sector in Nepal ๐ค
Hon. Ram Ashish Yadav, Speaker of the Madhesh Provincial Assembly, who was also the chief guest of the meeting, described the project as a timely step toward inclusive democracy. He appreciated its strong focus on inclusion and its potential to promote equality, cultural preservation, and income-generation opportunities in Madhesh ๐ฑ
Youth groups and creative artists expressed their enthusiasm and commitment to working together to uplift marginalized voices, promote cultural expression, and contribute to building a more inclusive and vibrant creative economy in Nepal ๐จ๐
