Thank You for an Inspiring Climate Session! 🌍🌳

A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Kritika Laudari, Network Coordinator, NYCA Hetauda, for delivering such an insightful and engaging climate session. Your knowledge, passion, and dedication inspired us to better understand the urgent need for climate action and the role each of us can play in building a sustainable future. 🌏🌱

During the session, participants explored key topics including Climate & Climate Change, Causes and Evidence of Climate Change, Nepal as a Climate Frontline Country, Climate Change Mitigation & Adaptation, COP30 Belém, Nepal's Climate Policy, and practical Climate Solutions & Individual Actions. The interactive discussions encouraged participants to think critically and become more informed environmental stewards.🌎🌲

Climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time, affecting our forests, biodiversity, water resources, agriculture, and communities. As future forestry professionals and environmental stewards, it is our responsibility to understand these challenges and contribute to meaningful solutions.

IFSA KAFCOL successfully organized a Cleanliness & Plantation Program with the active participation of students, demonstrating our shared commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable forestry.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Arun Sharma Poudyal, B.Sc. Program Coordinator, and all the faculty members and staff of Kathmandu Forestry College (KAFCOL) for their continuous guidance, encouragement, and support throughout the program.

The image is taken from Sikles- a village in ACAP following community based conservation. The image shows the Annapurna range and water source generating from it which contribute of electricity generation, drinking and other purposes. The tourism caused by Annapurna also thrives the villages near it. But over the course of time due to climate change, the snowline has also risen and water source has also began to melt rapidly causing unexpected floods and droughts and certain times.

IFSA KAFCOL proudly presents the Climate Change Photography Contest 2026 — a platform to capture the realities, impacts, solutions, and hope surrounding climate change through your lens. Every photograph has the power to raise awareness, inspire action, and inspire climate action.

🗓 Submission Deadline: July 15, 2026

📌 Submission Guidelines:
• Photographs must be related to climate change, environmental conservation, sustainability, biodiversity, adaptation, or mitigation.
• Only original photographs captured by the participant will be accepted.
• Basic editing (brightness, contrast, and color correction) is allowed, but AI-generated or heavily manipulated images are not permitted.
• Each participant may submit one photograph only.
• Submit your photograph along with a short caption (50–100 words).
• Please mention your full name, contestant number, and the name of your institution in the submission.
• Submit your entry to [email protected] before July 15, 2026.

🏆 Result & Judging Criteria:
• 50% – Jury Evaluation (Creativity, relevance to the theme, composition, and overall impact).
• 50% – Social Media Outreach.
• Social media engagement will be counted based on reactions to the photograph posted on the official IFSA KAFCOL page.
• Only valid likes and shares from the official Facebook post will be counted.
• Participants must follow and like the official IFSA KAFCOL page.
• The decision of the judging panel will be final.

This webinar will showcase the Youth Vision for Forestry, developed by young people from around the world and set to be presented at the 28th Session of the FAO Committee on Forestry (COFO 28)—the world's leading intergovernmental forum for forestry policy and decision-making.

As young foresters, our voices, ideas, and aspirations must be heard and reflected in the future of forestry. This is your opportunity to learn about the key recommendations developed through the global youth consultation process and contribute to validating the final Youth Vision before it is presented to policymakers.

📌 Submission Guidelines:
• Photographs must be related to climate change, environmental conservation, sustainability, biodiversity, adaptation, or mitigation.
• Photography , drawing , designining (keeping original photos)
• Only original photographs captured by the participant will be accepted.
