🌿 NDS Handed Over Newly Constructed Community Health Post to Harinagar Rural Municipality, Sunsari 🏥
Nepal Development Society (NDS) has officially handed over a newly constructed and fully equipped Community Health Post building to Harinagar Rural Municipality in Sunsari District, Koshi Province, Nepal. 🇳🇵
The handover and inauguration ceremony was held on 6 November 2025, chaired by NDS President Mr. Abdul Sattar Ansari. Rural Municipality Chairman Mr. Gaffar Ansari Miya attended as the Chief Guest, along with Chief Administrative Officer Mr. Rohini Acharya, Chairman of Ward No. 5 Mr. Sikamlal Yadav, Health Coordinator of R. M. Mr. Prakash Kumar Magar, Head of Community Health Unit Md. Mohammad Ajad Ansari, ward members, health assistants, community police, social activists, and local residents. 🙌
Constructed with the approval of the Social Welfare Council and in coordination with Harinagar Rural Municipality, the new health post features two main rooms, a small store, and a toilet-equipped with electricity, clean water, sanitation, furniture, fans, a refrigerator, a wheelchair, an examination bed, and essential medical equipment and items. This initiative is part of NDS’s continued effort to strengthen community health systems, ensuring accessible healthcare for all. ❤️
Upon completion, the Rural Municipality has taken full responsibility for managing and maintaining the facility, ensuring it serves the vulnerable population for the development of health facilities at the community level. 🙏
