Some journeys don't end, they transform. 🌿

We concluded, Hacking for a Carbon-Neutral Future at , Dhulikhel and we are still processing the beauty of what we witnessed.

This hackathon was never just about building a tool. It was about believing that Nepali youth, when given the right problem and the right support, can build something extraordinary. And they did. 💚

🏆 Congratulations to Team Harit! Shova Gelal, Bisesh Marasaini, Bhawana Ojha, and Jayed Alam Mansur from Kathmandu University are the winners of Nepal's first Green Hackathon! Their gamified carbon calculator turns real school data into an interactive learning experience, making climate action something students play, not just study.

🌟 To our Top 7 finalists: Hawaijahaj, HimalEdge, Neoकर्म, LeafNode, Eco Lens, and CarbonSathi. You spent 3 days building, rebuilding, debating, and pushing each other. What you presented on that stage was nothing short of remarkable. Nepal is lucky to have you.

💫 To our Top 15 selected teams, your ideas, your energy, and your commitment to this mission carried this hackathon from the very beginning. Making it to the Top 15 from a national pool of applicants across 7 provinces is no small thing. You showed up, and that matters. And to every single person who applied, thank you for believing that climate action starts with you. 🙏

A special mention to our mentors who dedicated their time and commitment towards this hackathon like it was their own. 🙏 Your guidance, patience, and belief in these teams made all the difference. Behind every prototype on that stage was a mentor who pushed, questioned, and believed. Thank you for showing up fully for Nepal's youth. 💚

This tool will now be piloted in real schools across Nepal in partnership with UNESCO Kathmandu. The mark these young people have left on Nepal's climate education story is permanent. 🌍

Thank you to UNESCO Kathmandu, UNICEF, and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Nepal for making this possible.

The work continues. 🌱
