PLA LANN+ Orientation for Government Health Staffs

On 30th November, 2025 one day PLA LANN+ orientation conducted at Hotel Gautam Buddha, Taulihawa, Kapilvastu. The main objective of the event is to orient government health staffs regarding LANN+ manual under the "Promoting Food and Nutrition security through Women Empowerment Project (NPL-1084)" jointly implemented by Rural Reconstruction Nepal (RRN) and KIDS Nepal with the financial and technical support from Welthungerhilfe(WHH) and BMZ.
The program was conducted under the chairmanship of Executive Director of KIDS, Mr. Krishna Kumar Dwivedi. The staffs from WHH Nepal, RRN and KIDS Kapilvastu facilitated the orientation.

A new chapter for youth empowerment in Lumbini Province begins yesterday!

We are honored to inaugurate the 2-day Capacity Development Workshop on Strengthening Youth Leadership for ICPD and SDGs Implementation from 17-19 august-2025 .
....✍️This crucial training, organized by the Province Youth Council, Lumbini and coordinated by KIDS Nepal with the support of UNFPA Nepal, is designed to equip our young leaders with the skills and knowledge needed to drive positive change.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our esteemed guests who graced the opening ceremony: Minister of Youth and Sport, Mr. Santosh kumar pandey; Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Balram Dhakal; Vice-Chair of the Youth Council, Mr. Hansraj Khanal; and UNFPA Province Lead, Mr.Ram Thapa . A special thanks to our distinguished key speakers, Mr. Ramesh Kumar Adhikari and Prof. Dr Vinay Pandey, for their invaluable insights. Training on “Promotion of Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)”
A three days training on “Promotion of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene” is conducted in Bijaynagar RM, Kapilvastu under “Sabal Balika Sabal Samudaya (SaBaSS)” project which is implementing by KIDS Nepal in collaboration of Plan International Nepal.
Twenty-four stakeholders representing five “School-Water Sanitation and Hygiene Coordination Committee (S-WASHCC) and two Community-Water Sanitation and Hygiene Coordination Committee (C-WASHCC) and three community volunteers were actively participated in the training with an aim to strengthen WASH situation in schools and communities.

"खानेपानी, सरसफाई तथा स्वच्छता प्रवर्द्धन तालिम"
किड्स नेपाल तथा प्लान इन्टरनेशनल नेपालको साझेदारीमा सञ्चालनमा रहेको "सबल बालिका सबल समुदाय" परियोजना अन्तर्गत कपिलवस्तुको विजयनगर गाउँपालिकामा “खानेपानी, सरसफाइ तथा स्वच्छता प्रवर्द्धन” सम्बन्धी तीन दिने तालिम सम्पन्न गरिएको छ।

विद्यालय र समुदायमा WASH स्थितिलाई सुदृढ पार्ने उद्देश्यले पाँच वटा “विद्यालय स्तरिय खानेपानी, सरसफाइ तथा स्वच्छता समन्वय समिति (S-WASHCC) र दुई वटा समुदाय स्तरिय खानेपानी सरसफाइ र स्वच्छता समन्वय समिति (C-WASHCC) को प्रतिनिधित्व गर्ने चौबीस सरोकारवालाहरू र तीन सामुदायिक स्वयंसेवकहरूको सक्रिय सहभागीता रहेको थियो।
तालिम २०८२ श्रावण १९ देखि २१ गते सम्म सञ्चालन भएको थियो ।
तालिमको उद्देश्यहरु;
• सहभागीहरुको WASH सम्बन्धि ज्ञान लाई सुदृढ बनाउन ।
• समुदायमा महिनावारी सम्बन्धि रहेका भ्रमहरु चिर्न ।
• बिद्यालय सुधार योजनामा WASH/MHH को कुरा समावेशीकरणको लागि प्रेरित गर्न ।
• समुदाय तथा बिद्यालयमा WASH/MHH को अवस्था सुदृढ पार्न ।

तालिम सहभागीहरुको उत्साह, प्रतिबद्धता तथा जोश उदाहरणीय तथा प्रेरणादायक रह्यो ।

In celebration of World Breastfeeding Week (August 1–7), we coordinated with Buddhabhumi Municipality to promote breastfeeding through interactive street drama (नाटक अभियान) and community interactions in an engaging and culturally resonant way.

The campaign aimed to raise awareness on the importance of exclusive breastfeeding and build a supportive environment for mothers and babies in our community.

Let’s join hands to prioritize breastfeeding and support every mother with respect and care. 💪👶
