A New Chapter of Leadership Begins at NYEF Janakpur Chapter!

The 6th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of NYEF Janakpur Chapter was successfully concluded, marking the official handover of leadership for the 2026–2027 tenure.

Outgoing President CA Rajeev Rauniyar officially handed over the leadership to Mr. Navin Shah, who has assumed office as the President of NYEF Janakpur Chapter for the 2026–2027 term.

The ceremony was graced by Mr. Sudip Ghimire, President of NYEF National Governing Council (NGC), as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Sonu Kumar, Advisor and Immediate Past President of NYEF Janakpur Chapter, as a distinguished guest of honor.

The Special Guests included Mr. Surendra Bhandari, President of Janakpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Adv. Sudeep Koirala, Legal Advisor; and Mr. Pradeep Dutt from FNCCI Madhesh Province.

We proudly introduce our Executive Board for 2026–2027:

NYEF Janakpur Chapter successfully conducted its Mid-Year Review Program at Anjani Suites.

The program was attended by Executive Committee members and general members, focusing on reviewing progress to date, ensuring necessary compliances, and formulating the future roadmap of the chapter.

In addition to the formal review sessions, interactive activities including quizzes, business bingo, balloon-to-cup challenges, pyramid building, and bottle flip games were conducted to encourage engagement and team collaboration.

The program concluded as a productive and well-coordinated event, fostering alignment, participation, and strengthened member interaction.

We, in coordination with the NYEF Birgunj Chapter and the Consulate General of India, Birgunj, successfully organized a Round Table Discussion on “India–Nepal Cooperation in New Technology & Startups” on 16 December 2025 at Mithila Awadh Dharamshala, Janakpur, Nepal.

The programme was chaired by Mr. Atul K. Thakur, Senior Secretary, India–Nepal Centre, PHDCCI, and comprised an inaugural session followed by an in-depth policy roundtable involving entrepreneurs, industry leaders, bankers, technology professionals, and institutional stakeholders from both Nepal and India.

The discussion focused on strengthening cross-border collaboration in emerging technologies, startup ecosystems, digital infrastructure, access to finance, and policy alignment to unlock innovation-led growth and employment opportunities, particularly in Madhesh Province.

The session was graced by Mr. Devi Sahai Meena (IFS), Consul General of India, Birgunj, as the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker, along with senior representatives from chambers of commerce, financial institutions, media, and the startup ecosystem.

The dialogue reinforced the need to move beyond traditional cooperation frameworks and build practical, technology-driven partnerships aligned with the aspirations of the next generation of entrepreneurs in India and Nepal.

Entrepreneurial Voyage & Student Industry Exposure
Organized by NYEF Janakpur Chapter in collaboration with NYEF Birgunj Chapter

NYEF Janakpur Chapter successfully organized “Entrepreneurial Voyage – Student Industry Exposure,” in collaboration with NYEF Birgunj Chapter on 5th of December, 2025, with the objective of bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world industry experience.

The program welcomed students and faculty members from Monastic School/College, offering them firsthand exposure to operational industries and practical business environments. Members of NYEF Janakpur Chapter actively facilitated the program, ensuring structured learning, engagement, and meaningful interaction throughout the visit.

We were honored to host distinguished speakers from the business community of Madhesh Province, who shared practical insights on entrepreneurship, industry realities, and economic contribution.

As part of the industrial exposure, students visited:
1. Britannia Nepal Industries
2. Prestige Carpet Industries

These visits enabled students to gain insights into:

1. Live industry operations
2. Practical application of classroom knowledge
3. Challenges faced by entrepreneurs
4. The contribution of industries to the local economy
5. Entrepreneurship as a viable and rewarding career path

The program concluded with an interactive reflection session, where students shared their learnings and discussed how such exposure motivates them to think beyond textbooks.

Overall, Entrepreneurial Voyage reflected NYEF Janakpur Chapter’s commitment to fostering industry–academia linkage, collaboration, and experiential learning for future leaders.

NYEF JANAKPUR CHAPTER – BUSINESS CONNECT DIALOGUE

NYEF Janakpur Chapter successfully convened the Business Connect Dialogue on 30th November, 2025 at Hotel Sitasharan, engaging leaders and representatives from the private sector, provincial institutions, financial regulators, and revenue authorities. The programme brought together key stakeholders to discuss the ongoing business challenges in Madhesh Province and collectively examine possible policy and institutional responses.

The dialogue highlighted critical issues including business security, disruptions in trade and supply chains, unstable taxation policies, credit limitations, and broader economic impacts arising from recent instability. The interaction also emphasised the importance of policy consistency, stronger coordination, and long-term measures to enhance business confidence and economic resilience within the province.

Roundtable and panel discussions were moderated by

• Pabitra Gautam, Executive Committee Member, NYEF National Governing Council
