With support from German Doctors , Rural Reconstruction Nepal (RRN) handed over essential medicines, medical supplies and equipment worth over NPR 400,000 to Gatlang Health Post in Amachhodingmo Rural Municipality Ward 3, Rasuwa, on 7 October 2026 (21 Asoj 2083).
Gatlang lies in north-western Rasuwa and is one of the most isolated communities in the district. Reaching it meant crossing the Bhotekoshi River on a tuin, a manual rope crossing, and then carrying the supplies the rest of the way over difficult terrain. Because of its distance and poor access, Gatlang has received only nominal relief since the flood. This is the first direct medical aid to reach the community.
Health post staff received the supplies in the presence of Aamachhodingmo Rural Municipality Vice Chair Chandika Tamang, Ward Chair and Chair of the Health Facility Operation and Management Committee (HFMOC), Surendra Tamang, Health Post In-Charge Silash Batha Magar, and community members. The medicines and equipment will help the health post keep treating patients in the village, as getting to a hospital is especially difficult and dangerous right now. The Gatlang Health Post team thanked German Doctors e.V. and RRN for making the journey and expressed hope that the support will continue.
This is part of the Bhotekoshi Flood Relief Package funded by German Doctors e.V. The package has also supported Rasuwa Hospital and Thulo Syabru Health Post, along with flood-affected households in Gosaikunda and Amachhodingmo.
