Disaster Aid Nepal, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Kathmandu Circle, The Dhulikhel Foundation, and the District Disaster Committee Kavre, has successfully dispatched 44 Aqua boxes to the rural areas of Kavre district, specifically Mahabharat Rural Municipality (26) and Khani Khola Rural Municipality (18). This initiative aims to assist victims who lost their homes due to the heavy rainfall that occurred from October 26 to 30, 2025. Given the remoteness and poor road conditions, these victims have struggled to receive any form of humanitarian aid. The Rural Municipality plans to provide additional support alongside the Aqua boxes to further aid the victims who are still awaiting assistance.
The Aqua boxes were delivered in the presence of several dignitaries, including the chairperson of the District Disaster Committee Kavre, the Chief District Officer of Kavre District-Mr. Gopal Kumar Adhikari, the Head of Red Cross in Kavre District-Devendra Bhaila, Shova Nakarmi-President of the Rotary Club of E-Club of Namobuddha, President Elect from the Rotary Club of Dhulikhel- Mohan Kumar Shrestha, and the Past President of the Rotary Club of Kavre Valley-Rikesh Kayastha, along with members of the media.
We extend our gratitude to Ranjeev Shrestha, the President of Disaster Aid Nepal (DAN), and the Past President of the Rotary Club of Kathmandu Circle for their relentless efforts in making this initiative a reality.
