The White Coat Ceremony and Oath Taking 2026, organized by the Students’ Welfare Society (SWS), was conducted with great reverence on 6th April 2026 at the Auditorium Hall of B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS).
This significant occasion marked the formal induction of first-year MBBS, BDS, Nursing, and Allied Health Sciences students into the noble field of healthcare.
The program commenced at 4:00 PM with a warm welcome, followed by inspiring addresses from distinguished dignitaries. The ceremonial robing of students in white coats symbolized their transition into the medical profession and their readiness to uphold its values and responsibilities.
The highlight of the event was the Oath Taking Ceremony, where students pledged to maintain the highest standards of ethics, compassion, and professional integrity. The oath was administered under the guidance of the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Sanjib Kumar Sharma, Rector, BPKIHS, whose words inspired and motivated the new batch.
The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of:

• Dr. Vimmi Singh, Assistant Dean, Academics
• Prof. Dr. Anju Pradhan, Dean, Examinations
• Prof. Ramanand Chaudhary, Chief, College of Nursing
Their presence, along with Heads of Departments, program coordinators, faculty members, and senior students, added great value to the occasion.
The event concluded with a dinner gathering at Dushera, fostering interaction and camaraderie among faculty, seniors, and the newly inducted students.
The ceremony stands as a proud milestone, reaffirming BPKIHS’s commitment to nurturing competent, ethical, and compassionate healthcare professionals.
