Sunshine social welfare group is a newly formed NGO focusing on bettering the lives of Nepali people and families who are in poverty or disadvantaged through illness or circumstances. We help those who are in desperate situations, poverty, and through education the children and families that normally do not get any assistance with schooling or healthcare. We are also planning projects to improve t
he lives of people in these poor regions by helping them become more self sufficient and improving sanitary conditions and providing fresh, clean water etc, and also to bring healthier lifestyles to the children by promoting sports projects. Our vision is to connect people with communities in need, with a particular focus on children, vulnerable women and the elderly. We do this by supporting the work of local community organisations through donations, sponsorships and the placement of international volunteers. At sunshine social welfare group we are dedicated and well equipped to arrange for volunteers to be completely immersed in the culture by placement in the homes of village families where they share the daily life experiences of the average Nepalese family while working in the community in the capacity they have chosen. The volunteer will be rewarded by learning a lot about themselves as well as the lives of others in a developing country where language and religion, outlook and habits are all very different. Most volunteers leave with their life’s compass pointing clearly in a new direction in their lives.
