A few weeks ago, my team and I stood before the judges at the Pilot Gateway of at Pulchowk Campus and presented something we truly believe can create real-world impact. ✨

Our project, **SurakshaMarg AI (सुरक्षामार्ग — “Path to Safety”)**, is an AI-powered disaster monitoring and safety intelligence platform designed to help vulnerable communities through:

• Real-time environmental monitoring
• AI-based risk detection
• Smart automation workflows
• Instant emergency alerts
• Predictive disaster intelligence

The vision behind SurakshaMarg AI is simple yet powerful:
**Use AI and technology not just to innovate, but to protect lives.**

In many regions of Nepal and across the world, communities continue to face risks from landslides, environmental instability, and delayed emergency response systems. We wanted to contribute toward solving that challenge by building a system that combines AI, IoT, automation, and real-time monitoring into one intelligent platform.

We proudly competed under the Innovation Track aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 15: Life on Land. Receiving recognition and participation certification from IEEE Pulchowk Student Branch was a meaningful milestone in our journey. 🏆

Building this as a Junior AI Engineer has been one of the most challenging and rewarding learning experiences of my journey so far.

Python • Node.js • Claude Code • Figma • Lovable • Ollama • n8n • Supabase • MCP Architecture • AI Automation Workflows

From brainstorming ideas and designing system architecture to debugging integrations late at night — every challenge pushed us to grow stronger as innovators and problem-solvers. ☕

And this is only the beginning.
