Nandani, a deafblind child, was enrolled in school but in the beginning she could not participate in activities and only maintained regular attendance along with therapy support. Over time, with consistent care and training, she has shown small but important progress. Now, she is able to adjust and hold her head steadily on her own for 4–5 minutes, which is a positive step towards her independence and overall development.

Children with deafblindness and deaf children celebrated Rakshya Bandhan in the Deafblind Resource Class in Morang.
On this festival, sisters tie a Rakhi (a special thread) on their brothers’ wrists to show love and care.
The event was full of smiles and happiness, making all the children feel included and together.

Naresh enrolled in the deafblind resource center at Aadarsha secondary school Biratnagar, at the age of 28. When he joined, he had no knowledge of sign language, size or gesture. With the regular attendance and dedicated learning, he can now recognise Nepali vowels and consonants through touch. Most importantly he has started communicating his basic needs and is eager to learn more.
His journey proves that age is never a barrier to learning - anyone with the will to learn can do so at any time with the right support.
