(💚 One Road… One Encounter… One Question Life Asked Us) Yesterday, during a regular field visit by Inner Vision Society Nepal, we witnessed a heartbreaking scene that deeply touched our hearts.
By the roadside, a mother was lying unconscious, apparently under the influence of alcohol. Beside her sat her two young children, refusing to leave their mother. Their eyes reflected hunger, fear, and uncertainty—but above all, an unwavering love for their mother.
The children were not asking anyone for help. They simply sat beside her, hoping she would wake up.
The sight was truly heartbreaking.
Without hesitation, we bought chow mein, fruit juice, and other food from a nearby restaurant so the children could have something to eat. Seeing the smiles on their faces after they had eaten reminded us of a simple truth:
Sometimes, even a small act of kindness can become someone's greatest hope for the day.
Yet one question continued to echo in our hearts:
Who will protect the future of these innocent children?
Children never choose the family they are born into or the circumstances they grow up in. Yet many are forced to carry burdens they never created. No child should have to experience such hardship.
We do not wish to judge or blame anyone. Instead, we offer our sincere prayers:
🙏 May God give this mother the strength to rebuild her life.🙏 May she be freed from the grip of alcohol addiction. 🙏 May she find the opportunity and courage to provide love, care, and a brighter future for her children.
We also pray that these two precious children will grow up surrounded by education, love, protection, dignity, and hope.
