Health, Sanitation and Nutrition Orientation Program Held in Masta

Bajhang, Masta RM, From 3rd to 7th May 2026, an orientation program on health, sanitation, nutrition, and women empowerment was successfully conducted in Wards No. 3 to 7 of Masta Rural Municipality under the project “Improved Food Security, Sustainable Livelihood, and Empowerment of Women.”

The program was implemented by Sahara Nepal Bajhang with financial support from Swallows of Finland.

Female community health volunteers and women farmers actively participated in the training, facilitated by local health volunteers. The sessions focused on community health awareness, personal hygiene, and nutrition.

Local representatives and project staff were also present. The program is expected to strengthen women’s capacity and promote sustainable livelihoods in the community.

🌱 Farmers’ Capacity Building Program Completed 🌱
A three-day orientation program on Manure Management, Agroforestry, Crop Rotation, and Nitrogen Fixation was successfully conducted from April 27–29, 2026 in Masta Rural Municipality.
Organized by Sahara Nepal Bajhang with the support of Swallows of Finland, the program engaged farmers from Wards 3–7 across Bhatekhola, Rilu, and Thakunna.
The training enhanced farmers’ knowledge and promoted sustainable agriculture practices for improved soil health, productivity, and livelihoods.

Handicraft Skill Development Training Concluded
Chaitra 23, 2082 (BS), Masta Rural Municipality, Bajhang
A handicraft skill development training on yarn and fabric production from allo (nettle fiber), h**p, and wool has been successfully completed in Ward No. 7 of Mashta Rural Municipality, Bajhang.
The training was conducted from Chaitra 7 to Chaitra 23, 2082 (BS) under the “Improved Food Security, Sustainable Livelihood, and Empowerment of Women ” project, implemented by Sahara Nepal with financial support from Swallows of Finland.
Local women participated in the training, where they gained practical skills in the selection of allo, h**p, and wool, yarn making, fabric production, and weaving techniques. Throughout the training period, participants actively engaged in hands-on practice and shared their experiences and learnings.
The closing ceremony was attended by ward representatives, media personnel, project staff, and the trainer. Products made during the training were also displayed during the event.
Speakers at the program expressed confidence that such skill-based trainings will help empower women and create opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.

A coordination meeting was held on Chaitra 17, 2082, under a project by Sahara Nepal with support from Swallows of Finland. The meeting, chaired by the chairperson of Mashta Rural Municipality, brought together local officials and stakeholders.

Discussions focused on improving food security, sustainable livelihoods, and women empowerment. Participants reviewed progress, challenges, and future plans, emphasizing stronger coordination and collaboration for effective implementation.

समन्वय तथा सहकार्य बैठक सम्पन्न

मिति २०८२ साल चैत्र १७ गते, मष्टा गाउँपालिका बझाङ्ग
स्वालोज अफ फिनल्यान्डको आर्थिक सहयोगमा साहारा नेपाल बझाङद्वारा सञ्चालित “खाद्य सुरक्षा सुधार, दिगो जीविकोपार्जन र महिला सशक्तीकरण” परियोजनाअन्तर्गत मष्टा गाउँपालिका तथा जिल्लास्थित सरोकारवाला संस्थाहरूबीच समन्वय तथा सहकार्य बैठक सम्पन्न भएको छ।
मष्टा गाउँपालिकाको कार्यालयको बैठक कक्षमा आयोजित उक्त कार्यक्रम गाउँपालिका अध्यक्ष ज्ञानबहादुर बोहराको अध्यक्षतामा सम्पन्न भएको हो। कार्यक्रममा उपाध्यक्ष हर्क धामी, वडा नं. १ का अध्यक्ष रामचन्द्र रोकाया, वडा नं. ४ का अध्यक्ष उत्तमराज जोशी, वडा नं. ६ का अध्यक्ष शिवराज बोहरा लगायत विभिन्न सरोकारवाला निकायका प्रतिनिधिहरूको उल्लेखनीय सहभागिता रहेको थियो।
त्यसैगरी, कृषि ज्ञान केन्द्रका कार्यालय प्रमुख जनक सिंह, घरेलु उद्योग कार्यालयका प्रतिनिधि दशरथ जप्रेल, डिभिजन वन कार्यालय बझाङका कर्मचारी लोकेन्द्र रोकाया, मष्टा गाउँपालिकाका निमित्त प्रमुख प्रशासकीय अधिकृत दीपक बोहरा, शाखा प्रमुखहरू, कर्मचारीहरू तथा कार्यपालिका सदस्यहरूको उपस्थिति रहेको थियो।
कार्यक्रममा साहारा नेपालका जिल्ला संयोजक उमेशराज जोशीले स्वागत मन्तव्य व्यक्त गर्नुभएको थियो भने परियोजनाबारे विस्तृत जानकारी परियोजनाका फिल्ड संयोजक दिनेश रोकायाले प्रस्तुत गर्नुभएको थियो।
कार्यक्रममा बोल्दै कृषि ज्ञान केन्द्रका प्रमुख जनक बहादुर सिंहले स्थानीय स्तरमा खाद्य सुरक्षा मजबुत बनाउन आधुनिक कृषि प्रविधि, उत्पादन वृद्धि तथा बजार पहुँचमा जोड दिनुपर्ने आवश्यकता औंल्याउनुभयो। उहाँले परियोजनासँग समन्वय गरी कृषकहरूलाई व्यवहारिक सीप र प्रविधि हस्तान्तरण गर्न कृषि ज्ञान केन्द्र सधैं सहयोगी रहने प्रतिबद्धता व्यक्त गर्नुभयो।
त्यसैगरी, कार्यक्रमका अध्यक्ष तथा मष्टा गाउँपालिका अध्यक्ष ज्ञानबहादुर बोहराले यस्तो परियोजनाले गाउँपालिकामा दिगो विकास, आयआर्जन तथा महिला सशक्तीकरणमा सकारात्मक प्रभाव पारिरहेको उल्लेख गर्नुभयो। उहाँले सरोकारवाला निकायहरूबीच सहकार्य र समन्वयलाई अझ सुदृढ गर्दै प्रभावकारी कार्यान्वयनमा जोड दिनुपर्ने धारणा व्यक्त गर्नुभयो।
उक्त परियोजना अन्तर्गत खाद्य सुरक्षा सुधार, दिगो जीविकोपार्जन तथा महिला सशक्तीकरणका क्षेत्रमा विभिन्न गतिविधिहरू सञ्चालन हुँदै आएका छन्। हाल मष्टा गाउँपालिकाका वडा नं. ३, ४, ५, ६ र ७ मा परियोजना कार्यान्वयन भइरहेको जानकारी दिइएको छ।
बैठकमा परियोजनाका उपलब्धि, चुनौती तथा आगामी कार्ययोजनाबारे विस्तृत छलफल गरिएको थियो। साथै, सरोकारवालाबीच समन्वय र सहकार्यलाई अझ प्रभावकारी बनाउने विषयमा विशेष जोड दिइएको थियो।

A training program was conducted for women of Ward No. 7, Thakunna and Daya of Masta Rural Municipality, after which they started processing allo and h**p to produce wool, yarn, and woven cloth, moving towards self-reliance.

Two-Day Nutrition and Sanitation Training Successfully Completed in Masta Rural Municipality

A two-day training on nutrition and sanitation was successfully held on March 24–25, 2026, for Female Community Health Volunteers in Masta Rural Municipality under the “Improved Food Security, Sustainable Livelihood and Empowerment of Women” project by Sahara Nepal Bajhang, with support from Swallows of Finland.

The training covered key topics such as reproductive health, family planning, safe motherhood, nutrition, hygiene, adolescent and menstrual health, and prevention of non-communicable diseases.

Participants are expected to apply their knowledge to raise community health awareness. Such initiatives play an important role in strengthening local health services and promoting long-term women’s empowerment.

अपि साईपाल पर्यटन पदमार्गमा सूचना बोर्ड जडान कार्य सम्पन्न - अपि साईपाल पर्यटन पदमार्ग अब थप व्यवस्थित

UNDP को आर्थिक सहयोगमा नेपाल पर्यटन बोर्ड (NTB) र साहारा नेपाल बझाङ्गको साझेदारीमा सञ्चालित दिगो पर्यटन परियोजना अन्तर्गत अपि साईपाल पर्यटन पदमार्गमा जानकारी तथा सूचना बोर्ड जडान कार्य सम्पन्न गरिएको छ।

यस कार्य अन्तर्गत बझाङ्ग जिल्लाको तलकोट गाउँपालिकाको कुवा क्षेत्रदेखि सुरु गरी पदमार्गका विभिन्न महत्वपूर्ण स्थानहरू साईपाल गाउँपालिकाको लाङ्ग्ना, काकरकोट र ज्याती लगायतका क्षेत्रमा पर्यटकलाई आवश्यक जानकारी, मार्गदर्शन तथा सुरक्षासम्बन्धी सूचना प्रदान गर्ने उद्देश्यले सूचना बोर्डहरू जडान गरिएको हो।

यस पहलले अपि साईपाल क्षेत्रको पर्यटन प्रवर्द्धन, प्राकृतिक तथा सांस्कृतिक सम्पदाको संरक्षण तथा पदयात्रामा आउने आन्तरिक तथा बाह्य पर्यटकलाई सहज र सुरक्षित यात्रा अनुभव प्रदान गर्ने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ।
