📚🐣 What is “Easter Crime”?

In Norway, there is a special Easter tradition called “Easter Crime” (påskekrim). During the Easter holidays, many people relax with a good crime novel while enjoying time at the cabin, at home, or out in the spring sunshine. A gripping mystery has become an essential part of the Norwegian Easter atmosphere. 🔎📖

The tradition goes all the way back to the 1920s, when a crime novel was advertised in newspapers as a “sensational robbery” right before Easter. The marketing stunt was so successful that crime stories became linked with the holiday and the tradition has continued ever since.

The JWC Library received a VERY generous donation of action and thriller novels! Please come by the Free Books Shelves located in the hallway behind the bar in the Community Support Building to take home any titles that catch your eye.

The collection includes an extensive range of books from well known authors such as David Baldacci, Tom Clancy, Robert Ludlum, Lee Child, Chris Ryan and so many others. All in great condition and free to take.
