21:00. Monday night. First day of ONS . And a packed room. 🔥
The first day of ONS is always busy. Calendars are packed, events are happening everywhere, and by 21:00, it would be understandable if people were ready to call it a day.
So when we started planning this event, we hoped to fill the room.
What we didn’t expect was to see Energy Square absolutely packed. 💜
And not just packed, but filled with people across generations, industries, backgrounds and perspectives, all gathered for From Ambition to Ex*****on: Delivering Across Energy & Technology.
M. Maxine Ghavi opened the evening with a powerful and personal keynote about getting comfortable with being “unready”, acting before we have all the answers, and letting our values guide us through uncertainty.
That set the tone for an honest, insightful and surprisingly funny panel with M. Maxine Ghavi, Paula Doyle, Jarand Rystad, Torbjørn Eik-Nes and Hege Økland, brilliantly moderated by our own Kine Dahl.
A few thoughts that stayed with us:
💡 Have the courage to make the decision, even when you don’t have all the answers.
💡 Bring younger voices to the decision-making table. Different generations have a lot to learn from each other.
💡 Change is happening fast, but some of the changes that matter most still aren’t happening fast enough.
And, as Jarand reminded us, have a great time while doing it. 😉
When the formal programme ended, people stayed. Conversations continued and new connections were made. Exactly what we hoped this evening would create. 🤝
A huge thank you to ONS for giving us the opportunity to create this collaboration, Accenture for hosting us at Energy Square, and Women in Green Hydrogen, New Energy Women and Kraftkvinnene for joining forces with ODA Nettverk to make it happen.
We hoped to fill the room. You gave us so much more. 💜
