June 30, 1960 marks the independence of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, bringing an end to Belgian colonial rule.
Alongside His Excellency Léopold Bompese Lofemba, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the Kingdom of Sweden, the DCN, and organizations from Norway, Finland and Denmark, discussions focused on the future prospects of a Congo facing numerous challenges.
For Congo Bridge Council, invited to take part in this commemoration, the discussions centered on the future prospects that the Congo should consider, while honoring and remembering the martyrs who died for freedom.

Today in Oslo 🇳🇴, we participated in the launch of Caritas Norway’s new report on strengthening locally led humanitarian action.
It was a great initiative and an important opportunity for learning and exchange around the challenges, partnerships, and perspectives of local NGOs.
We mainly discussed the realities of humanitarian work in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East, as well as the development of young local organizations.
Congo Bridge Council was also part of this exchange to learn, build connections, and further develop its vision for education and health between international institutions and local partners.

The Congo Bridge Council team visited a maternity center in Kinshasa to listen to the challenges women face after childbirth.
The team took time to engage, raise awareness about our mission, and provide small packages of essential supplies to mothers and pregnant women.
Together, we stand for dignity, care, and hope.

On March 4, 2026, we launched a donation campaign across Norway, Sweden, France, Turkey, Canada, Cyprus, and Belgium to collect used items in good condition and send them to
What started as a simple initiative has become a powerful movement of solidarity.
Thank you to everyone who has already donated. Your kindness is bringing real hope to people who need it most.
Today, in many parts of Congo, families are living in fear and uncertainty due to the ongoing conflict between the Congolese government and the AFC/M23 movement. Entire communities are struggling to survive.
But together, we are making a difference. We have already delivered support to local communities in South Kivu, especially in Kabare — and this is only the beginning.
We refuse to look away.
Now, we need you.Donate. Share. Act. Contact us to arrange a pickup and be part of this mission.
Together, we are not just sending aid — we are sending hope.
