This month we are gathering for a workshop on Dutch farmer folk music, stories, and discussion.

What can old farming songs tell us about our relationship with the land? Can folk traditions play a role in today's agroecological movement? Together we'll explore, sing, reflect, and discuss these questions while also contributing ideas to the Agroecology Album currently being developed by Toekomstboeren.

Hey everyone! Boerengroep is organizing a ~13 km bike excursion through 6 StreekWaar locations. StreekWaar is a network of local food producers working with agroecological principles 🚲🌱

We’ll head out on Saturday, June 6th, starting from the StreekWaar market stall at 11:30 and finishing around 15:00. Afterwards, we’ll wrap up the day together at Stadsbrouwerij Wageningen ☀️

Hey everyone! Boerengroep is organizing a bike excursion to Veld & Beek, a biodynamic farm in Doorwerth 🧀🥕🥖

We’ll go Thursday, May 14th (Ascension Day - no classes) and help with dairy processing and garden work, get a tour, and hear from the farmer 🌿

We leave at 9:15 from the Clockhouse bike parking and expect to be back around 17:00. It’s also possible to leave the farm after lunch at around 14:30.

Hello! Tomorrow we will be having another Open Pot event with the student kitchen!

This time we will be serving some potato and garlic soup 🧄 with lots of side toppings and a sweet treat!

We will be joined by some students from the Resistance, Power and Movement course who will be organising an exhibition on the topic of “The right to claim rights”. They will be showcasing the very weak democratic processes at WUR and the strong need for student participation in these processes! If you would like to know more, come check out their stand next to ours tomorrow :)

If the weather allows, we will be serving soup and outside in front of Forum so please look out for that! And don’t forget to bring you bowls and spoons 🥣

Hi all,

Take a little break from studying before the exams and join our excursion to Tuinderij De Stroom on April 21. This small organic vegetable farm is located in Randwijk, on the other side of the Rhine from Wageningen.
They make 450 veggie boxes per week, which they sell to local consumers.

During the tour, the farmers will show us their garden and talk about their practices, and together, we'll learn about food systems transformation in small-scale agriculture.

We meet at 13:45 at the bike parking at the Clockhouse in Wageningen, from where it will be a half-hour bike ride to the farm.  We expect to arrive back in Wageningen at around 16:45 at the latest.
