Purpose: To recognize and reward the outstanding service of martial artists of all styles in the pursuit of excellence in the way of Budo. The nominees must have made major contributions to the martial arts and be of outstanding moral character that present themselves as role models for the future generations of martial artists. Nominations can come from many areas of the arts, competitor, instruc
tors, historical, organizers to name but a few. Award Criteria for Induction into the IMA- Hall of Fame Criteria, Important! The Board will decide whether they get nominated! Candidates for induction may be nominated or recommended by anyone. All applications will be formally reviewed and submitted to the International Martial Arts Hall of Fame nomination committee. You must be approved for induction by one or more committee members
1. • A recipient of the IMA-Hall of Fame Award must be at least a black belt and the individual must have made a significant
contribution to the martial arts way. As an example of these significant contributions:
2. • Creating world class students (teachers / champions).
3. • Winning several National or International titles or championships for a country
4. • Held long running tournaments or public exhibitions.
5. • Must also have the true spirit of a martial artist and be of good character that represents a strong role model to those who are coming after. Bronze award

The more people who join this group, the wider our options are to select the right people. Selections are made from the nominations we receive at the IMA HOF group, and my e-mails. From there, our advisors select those who meet our criteria, and who are able to attend our events
