𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟵 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗮𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘄𝗲𝘇𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁
Met trots maken wij bekend dat Delfzijl door Sail Training International is geselecteerd als gasthaven voor de Tall Ships Races 2029. Een erkenning waar we als organisatie en regio bijzonder verheugd mee zijn.

Noteer de data: van 6 tot en met 9 juli 2029 vormt de haven van Delfzijl opnieuw het decor voor dit internationale maritieme evenement. Na de start in Arendal (Noorwegen) meert de internationale vloot bij ons aan, om vervolgens door te varen naar Duinkerken, Esbjerg en Oslo.

Bezoekers kunnen rekenen op een indrukwekkende vloot van de grootste zeilschepen ter wereld, een gevarieerd programma met muziek en cultuur, en de karakteristieke DelfSail-sfeer waarin Groningse gastvrijheid centraal staat.
We kijken ernaar uit om de schepen en honderdduizenden bezoekers te ontvangen. De voorbereidingen zijn van start gegaan.

It looks likes the weather allows us to be open tonight, just in case the weather turns bad (black ice expected from 02.00) we may have to close early.

Due to the extreme winter weather we unfortunately have had to decide that we have to close the seafarer's mission for the time being, the safety of our voluteers who have to drive from their homes and back on slippery roads is important to us.
We understand it is disappointing for you but force majeur made us to tell them to stay at home as advised all over our country: if you do no have to be on the road, stay home.
Today we are closed, tomorrow is uncertain as is Friday, before you walk our way, give us a call on +31 6 12 11 69 28 from 19.00 hrs. and weather permitting we are glad to welcome you.
Saturday we are closed anyway for our annual diner party so see you Sunday w.p.
