A thankful message from John Michael, one of the 'Basic Literacy' students.

"I am John Michael D. Bulatao of Maporac Aeta Organization (MAO), Cabanggan, Zambales, currently 4th year high school. I will be graduating in high school on March 25, 2014.
My family and I are very thankful for your continuous support in my studies.
As an Indigenous Aeta, my studies have helped me broaden my knowledge and uplifted my dignity as an Indigenous People.

''I am dreaming to finish college and become a policeman.''

Thank You for your continuous support. God Bless You.

Very Thankful,
John Michael Bulatao

Lovely thank you letter from Edrian O. Fernando, one of our Basic Literacy pupils from the Bulala-Fuga elementary school in Cagayan.

"I am a Grade VI pupil now. I enjoyed coming to school because I have a complete uniform, shoes, bags, raincoat, socks and school supplies. I am inspired going to school kahit wala akong baon basta mayroon akong mga gamit (even if I do not have any pocket money as long as I have my school supplies).

Thank you so much for the help you shared for my 6 years in school. Ang tulong po ninyo ay nagkakagaan sa aming kahirapan. Sana mas marami pang bata ang matutulungan ninyo katulad ko. (Your assistance makes our poorness easy to bear. I hope there will be many more children like me that you could help).

Maraming salamat po. (Thank you very much)."

This afternoon part of the Kapatiran Board shaked hands with Jun Carino (left) at Wads house. Tomorrow he will be on the plane for San Francisco where he will be living for the next 6 years. Jun is Kapatiran's web designer, but will keep on doing this, even on this distance.
Good luck and thank you Jun!

Barangay Danleg in Palawan was flooded by Typhoon and . Fortunately no casualty was reported however, our Kapatiran beneficiaries who rely on their rice fields have seriously suffered from the flooding.

They have no seeds of palay since most of their palay were due for harvesting, and for those who have just planted they now have to replant.

After soliciting our help of 38 sacks of palay we are very happy that plans to get this to them is on the way.
