Acupuncturisten Zonder Grenzen (AWB) organiseert actief steun voor mensen die noodgedwonge

n moeten ontvluchten, waaronder Oekraïense burgers, studenten en migranten uit andere landen, en vluchtelingen uit Afrika en het Midden-Oosten die opnieuw een veilige haven moeten vinden. Momenteel zijn we in Nederland:
Het identificeren en beveiligen van locaties voor pop-upklinieken, om vluchtelingen te behandelen. Wij gaan auriculaire behandelingen geven, daarom hebben wij geen behandeltafels nodig! Patiënten hebben alleen comfortabele zitplaatsen nodig. Idealiter zouden we een tijdsblok van 3-4 uur hebben voor opbouw/afbraak en om behandelingen op voortschrijdende basis toe te dienen. Afhankelijk van de beschikbare ruimte en vrijwillige beoefenaars, kunnen we locaties opzetten op meerdere locaties, met een minimale frequentie van om de twee weken. We willen er ook voor zorgen dat de locaties zo dicht mogelijk bij de vluchtelingen zijn, zodat ze niet ver hoeven te gaan. Begonnen met het screenen van geïnteresseerde vrijwilligers. Alle beoefenaars zijn welkom. We zouden vooral graag samenwerken met lokale acupunctuurscholen, om student-acupuncturisten de kans te geven klinische ervaring op te doen door inkomende vluchtelingen te behandelen. Hoewel we de interesse van veel mensen waarderen om directe diensten te verlenen, moeten we eerst een werkbare service-infrastructuur opzetten. Dit kost tijd, geld, planning en hulp bij administratie, logistiek, publieksbereik en het mobiliseren van middelen ter plaatse. 🧡 This week we run our free community acupuncture clinic at the refugee centre at Kabelweg Amsterdam once again.

🧡 We set up our clinic at this location in February 2026, and have since run 15 clinics and treated 199 patients, including 21 children.

🧡 Our patients have very diverse backgrounds, coming from Palestine, Syria, Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Eritrea, Somalia, Venezuela and Colombia.

🧡 Our clinic at .nl at Kabelweg Amsterdam is one of our three open locations in The Netherlands, where anyone can simply walk in, join our healing circle and receive free treatment and support, including all members of the LGBTQ+ community.

🧡 Our other open locations are:
* Rasom Haarlem (Anegang 39, Haarlem), monthly clinics.
* Pauluskerk, Rotterdam (Mauritsweg 20, Rotterdam ), bi monthly clinics.

Yesterday at our monthly free community acupuncture clinic at .haarlem Ukrainian cultural hub.

This month, in addition to acupuncture, we were able to offer our lovely patients some massage as well as cupping therapy.

Our next clinic at will be on the 16th of September.

🧡At our free community acupuncture clinic at the refugee centre at Kebelweg Amsterdam.

🧡This location is one of our three open clinics in The Netherlands, meaning we welcome anyone in need of help! You can simply walk in and receive treatment.

🧡We are located in the .nl cantine (entrance through the side of the building at Kabelweg 21, Amsterdam).

🧡We are there with a team of AWB volunteers every second Wednesday from 13:30-15:30. Next clinic will be on August 26th.

The beautiful ears we treat!

We provide trauma and stress relief through ear acupuncture protocols, most notably the NADA protocol, which consists of five needles applied to each ear.

A few weeks ago some of our members traveled to Offenbach am Main in Germany for an international AWB course, which was a meeting of hearts and minds, and creating bonds across borders.

We had an amazing time at our first ever outdoor community event in the Kinkerbuurt market in Amsterdam on the 30th of May.

We met many new and lovely people, talked about our work, about acupuncture, chatted about everything and nothing at all… Medicine of Peace!
