International student teams race against the wind inWind Powered Vehicles.

2025: 19th - 21st of August Dutch and international student teams race against the wind in Wind Powered Vehicles. This year's race (2022) will be from August 23 - 25. The organising foundation (Wind Energy Events) looks forward to continually challenging the high tech boundaries which make racing against the wind possible

and to set new (world) records! We believe it's definately possible to race harder than the speed of the wind itself. On the Dutch sea d**e, in the city of Den Helder, it might just happen!

🇳🇱 Racing Ae**us 2025 – Finale dag 🏁💨

Wat een afsluiter van drie dagen racen op de Helderse Zeedijk!

🔄 De hele dag reden er 5 auto’s volop rondes, waarbij Danmarks Tekniske Universitet - DTU opnieuw het vaakst de baan opging.
⚡ Met een score van 99% van DTU en een indrukwekkende 102% van de Hogeschool van Amsterdam - HvA was het nagelbijtend spannend. Uiteindelijk behaalde Amsterdam (HvA) opnieuw de hoogste score van de dag met 102%!
🚀 De nieuwe auto van Baltic Thunder reed constant sterke rondes van zo’n 70%, en ook Team InVentus en Chinook ÉTS waren eindelijk volop op de baan met meer dan 3 runs.
🏎️ De Drag Race liet geen twijfel: Amsterdam was veruit het snelst tegen iedereen.

Ook vandaag was er weer veel publiek aanwezig, wat zorgde voor een geweldige sfeer langs de Zeedijk. 🙌✨

✨ Wat een editie! Racing Ae**us 2025 was vol spanning, innovatie en teamwork. Dank aan alle teams, vrijwilligers, sponsoren en publiek. Samen hebben we er een onvergetelijk evenement van gemaakt!

🇬🇧 Racing Ae**us 2025 – Final day 🏁💨

What an amazing finale to three days of racing on the Helderse Zeedijk!

🔄 Throughout the day, 5 cars were frequently on track, with DTU once again completing the most laps.
⚡ With 99% from DTU and an impressive 102% from Amsterdam, the battle was incredibly close. In the end, Amsterdam (HvA) once again claimed the highest score of the day: 102%!
🚀 The new car of Baltic Thunder showed strong consistency around 70%, while InVentus and Chinook finally joined in with more than 3 successful runs.
🏎️ The Drag Race was clear-cut: Amsterdam outran everyone with ease.

A big crowd of spectators gathered along the Zeedijk today, creating an amazing atmosphere. 🙌✨

✨ Racing Ae**us 2025 was all about excitement, innovation, and teamwork. Thanks to all teams, volunteers, sponsors, and spectators – together we made it an unforgettable event!

🇳🇱 Racing Ae**us 2025 – Dag 2: Wat een spanning! 🏁💨

De tweede racedag bracht volop actie en spanning op de Helderse Zeedijk!

⚡ DTU, Chinook, Baltic Thunder en HvA maakten vandaag veel ritten en vochten hard voor de beste score.
🚀 Uiteindelijk wist Amsterdam opnieuw de hoogste score neer te zetten met maar liefst 97% – een topprestatie!
🔄 DTU zat er met 92% héél dichtbij, wat zorgde voor een spannende strijd.

🇪🇬 Egypte en InVentus zijn nog druk bezig in het hotel om hun auto’s raceklaar te krijgen – hopelijk zien we ze snel aan de start! 🔧💪

The second race day was full of action and excitement on the Helderse Zeedijk!

⚡ DTU, Chinook, Baltic Thunder, and HvA made many runs today, battling hard for the best score.
🚀 In the end, Amsterdam once again achieved the top result with an impressive 97% – a stellar performance!
🔄 DTU came very close with 92%, making it a thrilling contest.

🇪🇬 Egypt and InVentus are still working hard at the hotel to get their vehicles race-ready – we hope to see them on track soon! 🔧💪

🇳🇱 Racing Ae**us 2025 – Dag 1: De strijd is losgebarsten! 🏁💨

De eerste racedag zit erop en wat een dag was het!

⚡ Baltic Thunder kwam sterk uit de start met maar liefst 2 auto’s en zette meteen 3 scores neer.
🚀 Amsterdam noteerde de hoogste score van de dag met maar liefst 86%!
🔄 DTU liet zien wat uithoudingsvermogen is en reed de meeste rondes.

Chinook en InVentus stonden vandaag nog niet aan de start, al reed Chinook aan het einde van de dag alsnog even mee. 🇪🇬 Egypte is nog druk bezig in de werkplaats om zo snel mogelijk ook aan de start te verschijnen. 🔧💪

En we zijn nog niet klaar: vanavond staan de teampresentaties op het programma. De teams delen hun innovaties en vertellen meer over hun ontwikkelingen van dit jaar – altijd een van de hoogtepunten van het evenement! ✨

The first race day is done – and what a start!

⚡ Baltic Thunder kicked off with 2 cars on track, setting 3 scores.
🚀 Amsterdam achieved the highest score of the day with 86%!
🔄 DTU impressed with the most laps completed.

Chinook and InVentus didn’t race today, though Chinook managed to get on track briefly at the end. 🇪🇬 Egypt is still working hard in the workshop and aims to hit the track as soon as possible. 🔧💪

Tonight we continue with the team presentations, where teams will showcase their innovations and share highlights from this year’s developments – always a true highlight of Racing Ae**us! ✨

🇳🇱 Racing Ae**us: Dag 0 – Testen en bouwen 🔧🌍

Vandaag stond in het teken van de officiële testdag!
Op de Helderse Zeedijk waren Baltic Thunder, DTU en de Hogeschool van Amsterdam al druk bezig met testen, bijstellen en optimaliseren. 💨

In Hotel Den Helder werd er volop gesleuteld door de teams uit Canada, Stuttgart en Egypte. Ondertussen werd het parcours klaargezet, onze bus versierd met prachtige landenvlaggen 🇨🇦🇩🇪🇪🇬🇩🇰🇳🇱 en werkten onze geweldige vrijwilligers weer hard achter de schermen. 🙌

🇬🇧 Racing Ae**us: Day 0 – Testing and building 🔧🌍

Today was the official test day!
On the Helderse Zeedijk, Baltic Thunder, DTU, and the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences were busy testing, adjusting, and optimizing. 💨

Meanwhile, at Hotel Den Helder, the teams from Canada, Stuttgart, and Egypt were hard at work fine-tuning their vehicles. The track was set up, our bus was decorated with beautiful national flags 🇨🇦🇩🇪🇪🇬🇩🇰🇳🇱, and our amazing volunteers worked tirelessly behind the scenes. 🙌

Het is begonnen! 🚀

Racing Ae**us 2025 is officieel van start gegaan. Zaterdag stond in het teken van voorbereiden en ontvangen.

Onze fantastische vrijwilligers hebben de tenten opgezet bij Hotel Den Helder, waar de internationale studententeams tijdens het evenement zullen verblijven. Ondertussen werd er hard gewerkt aan de onderdelen voor de technische keuring en hebben we de eerste kar al in ontvangst mogen nemen.

En jawel, de eerste studenten hebben zelfs al een kijkje genomen op de iconische Zeedijk! 🌬️

We’re off! 🚀
Racing Ae**us 2025 has officially kicked off. Saturday was all about preparation and welcoming our guests.

Our amazing volunteers set up the tents at Hotel Den Helder, where the international student teams will be staying during the event. Meanwhile, work was already underway on the components for the technical inspection, and we have received our very first vehicle.

And yes, some of the first students have already set foot on the iconic Zeedijk! 🌬️

🇳🇱 Team Baltic Thunder: Terug voor bliksemresultaten ⚡

Uit Kiel, Duitsland komt Baltic Thunder, een team dat al vele jaren meedoet aan Racing Ae**us en meerdere keren de prestigieuze Innovatieprijs heeft gewonnen.

In 2025 keren ze terug naar de Helderse Zeedijk, vastberaden om opnieuw hoge ogen te gooien en prachtige scores neer te zetten. Met hun technische creativiteit en ervaring belooft dit weer een editie vol spannende momenten te worden.
