Our June meetup is on Thursday the 25th and we've got a good one lined up.
David Beentjes (Unloc) is going to show us something a bit unexpected: a fully working Android and iOS app, built in PHP using NativePHP, integrated with a real WordPress site. If you've ever told a client "sorry, I don't do mobile apps" — this talk is worth your time.

What a fantastic evening at the May 6th WordPress Meetup Amsterdam!

With around 30 WordPress enthusiasts, developers, creators, and curious learners in the room, the energy was incredible from start to finish. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the “Build a Plugin with AI” workshop hosted by Jaap W. and led by Monique Dubbelman.

From setting up LocalWP to experimenting with AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Copilot, attendees explored how AI can help bring WordPress plugin ideas to life — even without prior coding experience. The discussions, collaboration, and willingness to learn together made this meetup a real success.

Special thanks to Monique for sharing not only the technical side of vibe-coding, but also the creative mindset behind building with AI.
