Dear Partners,

Following a review of the initial applications for the UNFPA small grants for Women-led and Youth-led organizations, we identified some technical issues in the earlier process. As a result, we are revising the process with minor modifications, which have now been addressed and corrected.

We are therefore reopening the call for applications and extending the opportunity to all eligible partners, with a new deadline of 18 April 2025- Including previous applicants and recipients of the earlier grant.

Our stabilization initiatives are helping conflict-affected communities in Northeast Nigeria restore normalcy by providing vital services and facilities, through the Adamawa State Ministry of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Reintegration & Humanitarian Services (MRRR&HS) in collaboration with the Regional Stabilization Facility for the Lake Chad Basin – Nigeria Window.

In August, 35 women from the Gulak Community in Adamawa State underwent a 7-day Village Savings and Loans Association (VSLA) training facilitated by the UNDP and MRRR&HS under the same stabilization initiative. This training empowered them with key skills in savings management, loan administration, and financial empowerment.

The participants developed action plans to boost economic stability in their community, driving financial inclusion and fostering sustainable development.
