The organization was born out of a compelling need to address the widespread marginalization, discrimination, and social exclusion faced by persons with disabilities (PWDs), particularly in post-conflict and underserved communities affected by poverty, insurgency, and limited access to essential services.
ADPWDVSI's programs cut across sectors including inclusive education, protection (including GBV prevention and response), health, economic empowerment, psychosocial support, and access to justice. The organization ensures disability and gender sensitivity in all its interventions and has successfully partnered with government agencies, INGOs, local CBOs, and donor institutions to implement impactful projects that improve the lives of PWDs and vulnerable populations.

Community Awareness on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) at Malkohi IDP Camp

Today, ADPWDVSI conducted a Gender-Based Violence (GBV) awareness session at Malkohi IDP Camp, engaging women and community members in an interactive learning experience.

As part of the session, participants took part in the "Stand If..." GBV game—an engaging activity that encouraged reflection, participation, and open discussion on gender-based violence, harmful social norms, and ways to prevent and respond to GBV.

The awareness session also provided information on the different forms of GBV, survivors' rights, and the importance of speaking up and accessing available support services.

Together, we are fostering safer, more informed, and more inclusive communities where everyone can live free from violence.

World Blood Donor Day 2026 ❤️🩸
Today, we celebrate the heroes who give the gift of life through voluntary blood donation. Every drop of blood donated can save lives, restore hope, and bring healing to patients in need.
As we mark World Blood Donor Day, let us remember that blood cannot be manufactured, it can only come from generous donors. Your simple act of kindness can make the difference between life and death for someone, somewhere.
Theme: "Give Blood, Give Hope: Together, We Save Lives."
Let us encourage regular blood donation and support a healthier, stronger community for all.

🩸 Donate Blood. Save Lives. Be a Hero.

Sometimes, the biggest barrier faced by persons with disabilities is not the disability itself.

It is the assumptions.

The assumption that they cannot learn.

The assumption that they cannot work.

The assumption that they cannot lead.

The assumption that they always need someone to speak for them.

Yet every day, persons with disabilities are raising families, running businesses, pursuing education, leading organizations, and contributing meaningfully to their communities.

The problem is not a lack of ability.

Too often, it is a lack of opportunity.

Imagine how much stronger our communities would be if everyone had equal access to education, employment, healthcare, public spaces, and decision-making processes.

Inclusion is not about lowering expectations.

It is about removing barriers.

Because when barriers come down, people rise.

💙 Let us continue building a society where ability is recognized, opportunities are accessible, and everyone has the chance to reach their full potential.

Have a great week.

🌍 Our Planet. Our People. Our Responsibility.

Today, on World Environment Day 2026, we at ADPWDVSI stand in solidarity with every community on the front lines of climate change — especially persons with disabilities and vulnerable people, who bear its heaviest burden and are too often left out of the solutions.
Climate action is disability justice.

Sustainable futures must include all of us.
- Rebuild ecosystems so every community — including ours — can thrive.
- Rethink economic systems that leave persons with disabilities behind.
- Build climate-resilient communities where no one is an afterthought.
The time is NOW.
