WHEN YOU KNOW YOUR HISTORY AND WHERE YOU COME FROM

When white men came to Northern Nigeria with their short trousers, they found northerners with their cap, gown & long trousers. Among which we have Kaftan, Babban Riga wato Shakwara and Jamfa, falmara, zabuni, Jauhari and Kufta.
Also the north with their administrative, social, educational, cultural, political, norms & values as well as legal system of Sharia from the Quran and Sunnah.

They found us with a complete system of governance like the following :-

Sarki (Emir/Amir) - Equivalent of a, King or the Queen.
Waziri - The Prime Minister
Maga takarda - Secretary.
Hatimi - Stamp.
Sarkin Yaki - Commander of the Army.
Sarkin Ruwa - Minister of Water resource.
Sarkin Kira - Minister of power and steel.
Sarkin Noma - minister of Agriculture.
Sarkin Gida -Of Internal Affairs or domestic
Maga Yaki - Minister of Defence....etc

They found us writing in Ajami ( Arabic inscription of Hausa using Arabic alphabets like ا ب ت ث ) with Hatimin sarki ( Each Emirate has its own stamp and logo ) from one sarki to another Sarki or from one Emirate to another pending on the Economic, Social and Military might of such Emirate.

We are long used to the system of taxation in za north called Haraji or Jangali.

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is our history ,our culture,our norms and our values as 'Yan Arewa.

Finally,do you know the white man can not pronounce AMIR properly ( which the tittle of a leader of Hausas or Arabs ) ,he resulted to Emir?

the Lithium is from Kogi, Nassarwa, Kaduna and FCT,

THE Gold is from Katsina, Kaduna, Zamfara, Kebbi and Sokoto.
Also both are found in Borno state, yet the Gold refinery and Lithium enrichment will be in ONLY Lagos !!!

Sectional interest is being advanced while northern Governors, senators, House representatives , activists, traditional leaders, elder statesmen and politicians are slumbering; at least, for once, think twice🤷🏽‍♂️😞🤔💭💭

Mariam Babangida - It’s sad that a generation doesn’t know this woman. So my recent post on First Ladies, Mariam Babangida and Stella Obasanjo, went viral....

But as I read the comments, something hit me hard: too many young Nigerians genuinely don’t know who Mariam Babangida was.

And that troubled me.

Out of curiosity, I searched the internet.

I mean surely, a woman of her influence must have a biography or memoir.

But to my shock, there is none.

No definitive book.

No archive of her work.

No documented legacy.

And I honestly felt sad.

Because those of us who were children during her era remember exactly how she made us feel.

Mariam Babangida was not just a First Lady, she was an era.

A presence.

A standard.

There was something about her that made even little children sit up.

Her gait.

Her soft but commanding aura.

Her confidence without arrogance.

Her femininity without apology.

Her elegance that never needed to shout.

She walked into a room and you felt order, beauty, and prestige blend into one person.

She took the role of First Lady.

A role that had no real definition and transformed it into something with structure, purpose, and national value.

Through her Better Life Programme for Rural Women, she didn’t just empower women… she restored dignity.

She went into rural areas most politicians didn’t even know existed. And what did she do?

She organized women into cooperatives so they could access funding.

She created cottage industries so women could earn their own income.

She established markets so rural traders finally had proper spaces to sell.

She opened women’s centres so training and support could continue.

She pushed literacy programmes so women who never saw a classroom could learn to read.

She supported health outreach, sanitation, maternal care, and community welfare.

She made the forgotten woman visible.

Her elegance was not hollow, it was backed by hard work.

Her beauty was not cosmetic, it was accompanied by compassion

PAWECA was established as an Agency under the Ministry of Entrepreneurship development, Adamawa State on July 2020, by the *Executive Governor of Adamawa State* *H.E., RT. HON. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri* *headed by Dr. Michael Zira*..... PAWECA with the aim of providing various empowerment programs to the youth, women and vulnerable groups in the society, and to enhance the micro-economic development of the State and provide intervention on basic/primary issues, geared towards value re-orientation and integration.
