🏅 UAT ALUMNI ASSOCIATION HONOURS VISIONARY LEADERS AT SPECIAL AWARD PRESENTATION

In a heartfelt ceremony that marked a renewed commitment to institutional growth and alumni engagement, the University of Africa Toru-Orua (UAT) Alumni Association on Friday 4th, July 2025, proudly presented awards to two distinguished members of the university's leadership—Prof. Solomon T. Ebobrah, Vice Chancellor of UAT, and Dr. Godwin Poi, Director, Directorates of Entrepreneurship, Advancement and Linkages (DEAL).
The event, which was held at their respective offices, was led by the President of the Alumni Association, Mr. Koufa, Samuel Akpoabo-owei, supported by Marine Happiness (Vice President) and Awipi Pius (National Auditor), and attended by key stakeholders from the university community.
The highlight of the event was the Award of Honor presented to Prof. Solomon T. Ebobrah, in recognition of his transformational leadership, strategic foresight, and steadfast dedication to advancing the university. Since assuming office, Prof. Ebobrah has driven infrastructural development, academic innovation, and inclusive policies that have strengthened the university’s bond with its alumni.
In the same spirit of appreciation, an Award of Honor was presented to Dr. Godwin Poi, whose role as Head of the Directorate of Advancement and Linkages (DEAL) has been pivotal in fostering dynamic alumni-university relations. Dr. Poi’s commitment to relationship-building and development-focused partnerships has earned him admiration within the UAT community.
The dual honour symbolized a celebration of leadership, service, and the shared vision of a stronger UAT community. The Alumni Association reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the university’s development agenda and encouraged all members to remain active participants in shaping UAT’s future.
