Today, on International Men’s Day, we at the Alfred Izonebi Foundation celebrate the strength, the compassion, and the leadership of men and boys, especially in the Niger Delta.
As men, you are builders of communities, of dreams, of legacies. You are mentors, fathers, artists, and changemakers. Behind every hopeful child, every thriving business, every creative future, there is a man who dared to believe in something greater.
This year’s theme, “Celebrating Men and Boys”, invites us to uplift and support one another. The celebration must mean more than applause; it must mean action.
At AIF, we believe in harnessing the power of positive masculinity. We know that real strength lies in kindness, in vulnerability, in lifting others as we rise. Our founder, Alfred ‘JKing’ Izonebi, built this Foundation not just on his music, but on the principle that every life he touches should be lifted, nurtured, and empowered.
Today, we call on you: men and boys of the Niger Delta, and beyond, to lean into that power. To be present for the youth. To mentor, to support, to protect, to dream.
Let’s build a future where the positive force of men is a cornerstone of our communities. Where we celebrate not just what men do, but who they are, caring, bold, and responsible.
Join us. Lift someone today.
