Yenagoa, Bayelsaโ The University of Africa Toru-Orua (UAT) Alumni Association stepped out in style and sweat earlier this morning as it pulled off its first-ever off-campus activity โ the โFitness Reunion 2026โ
What started at 6:30 AM at Opolo Roundabout quickly turned into a vibrant fusion of wellness and nostalgia. Alumni swapped lecture-hall memories for light fitness drills, spirited walk-outs, and fun games that had old friends laughing like undergrads again.
But it wasnโt just about the burn. The morning created real space for networking, deal-making, and idea-sharing, as members reconnected across graduating sets to explore collective ventures and reminisce on unforgettable campus days. From CEOs to young professionals, the tracks became a boardroom, a reunion hall, and a family gathering all at once.
Speaking after the program, Mr. King Kelvin, Director of Socials, said the turnout proved one thing: โHealthy activities like fitness are a great way to reunite the family. This is just the beginning โ expect more events that bring us together, stronger and healthier.โ
Comr. KOUFA, Akpobo-owei Samuel, National President of the UAT Alumni Association, couldnโt hide his excitement: โIโm grateful to every alumnus who embraced this idea and showed up for our maiden Fitness Reunion. This is what community looks like. We must relate in love, connect with each other, and always look out for one another. The more we are together, the happier and stronger we become.โ
The President also announced that the 1st Congress of the UAT Alumni Association holds today at 3PM, Udeme Hotel, Yenagoa. All members are urged to attend as key issues on the growth and advancement of the Association will be discussed.
From fitness to forward-thinking, UAT Alumni are proving that graduation is not goodbye โ itโs just the warm-up.
We Walked. We Sweat. We Connected. We Celebrated.
