🕵🏽‍♂️⚡ Learning Beyond the Classroom!

Today was another remarkable step in raising Nigeria's next generation of energy leaders.

The Energy Detectives Club, and The Next Energy Stars under the Ologed initiative , embarked on an educational visit to the Renaissance Energy Exhibition Booth** at the Nigerian Oil and Gas Energy Week (NOG Energy Week).

Our young detectives were not just visitors.
They became investigators, exploring the fascinating world of energy through observation, thoughtful questions, and interaction with industry experts.

One of the highlights of the visit was an enlightening session on listening skills and the effects of noise pollution.
The students learned why listening is an essential skill for effective communication and safety in the energy industry, and how excessive noise can affect human health, concentration, productivity, and the environment.
It was a valuable reminder that creating a safer and healthier workplace goes beyond technology. It also involves protecting our hearing and managing noise responsibly.

We were especially delighted to have Women in Energy Oil and Gas(WEOG) join us at the Renaissance Energy booth. Their presence added immense value as they encouraged and inspired our students, demonstrating the important role women continue to play in shaping the future of the energy sector.

Throughout the exhibition, our students observed cutting-edge technologies, interacted with energy professionals, discovered exciting career opportunities, and gained a deeper appreciation of Nigeria's energy industry. They also visited other exhibition booths, broadening their understanding of the diverse organizations and innovations driving the nation's energy future.

At OLOGED Initiative, we believe that energy education should be experienced, not just taught. Every exhibition, every conversation, and every question asked helps shape informed, curious, and confident future energy leaders.

Electricity is one of our most valuable resources, yet many people waste it simply because they don't know how much they are using. My project introduces a "Smart Energy Meter" that helps households, schools, and businesses monitor their electricity consumption in real time, making it easier to save energy and reduce costs.

Many homes and organizations struggle to manage their electricity because they lack accurate, real-time information about their energy usage.

As a result:

This innovation aims to make cooking safer, cleaner, faster, and more affordable for homes and communities.

Many traditional cooking stoves have serious drawbacks:
