How did she win?

🎯 Visit the Young Africa booth

πŸ“ Register your attendance

🎯 Throw a dart at the board

πŸ”’ The dart lands on a numbered spot

Empowering Businesses Beyond Mentorship: Young Africa Distributes More Booster Kits to Participants in Lagos State πŸš€

Yesterday, Young Africa Nigeria, through the Youth Employability Booster (YEB) Programme in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, distributed booster kits to selected participants from Cohort 1 of the Tailored Business Mentorship Programme in Lagos.

While mentorship remains at the heart of the programme, these booster kits provide an added boost to help young entrepreneurs strengthen their businesses, improve productivity, increase income, and move closer to sustainable livelihoods.

By combining practical business guidance with targeted business support, we are helping young people turn potential into progress and enterprise into opportunity.

Together, we are creating pathways to dignified work, stronger businesses, and brighter futures.

At Young Africa Nigeria, skills development goes beyond the classroom. Through our Integral Mobile Training programme at Benin Technical College, young people are gaining practical, hands-on experience in trades that can transform their futures.

In this session, participants are learning the art of shoemakingβ€”developing skills in pattern cutting, leatherwork, stitching, finishing, and footwear production. By combining technical instruction with real-world practice, trainees are building the confidence and competence needed to start businesses, secure employment, and create sustainable livelihoods.

These aspiring shoemakers are part of a wider cohort of over 2,000 young people enrolled in trade and skills acquisition programmes across our implementation areas, gaining access to market-relevant vocational skills that prepare them for work and entrepreneurship.

Every skill learned is a step towards economic independence, dignity, and opportunity.
