A few months ago, we embarked on a remarkable journey to support the families of police officers who lost their lives in active service. This initiative, led by ACP Usman Yahaya (Squadron Commander, 38 PMF Akwanga), has been a testament to collective effort and compassion.
With the unwavering support of the Akwanga Area Commander and the Divisional Police Officers under the Akwanga Area Command, we traveled across the five divisions to share our vision. It was an eye-opening experience as we engaged with officers and invited them to join us in improving the lives of underserved families in our community.
During our tour and the initiative's official launch on December 13, 2024, we identified many families in need and even discovered new ones. The response from officers has been truly inspiring—many have made generous donations, and others have pledged ongoing support to these families.
What’s even more exciting is the growing community of officers committed to making a lasting impact by continuously assisting these families. The progress so far has been incredible, and we are dedicated to expanding this initiative by partnering with individuals and organizations who share this vision.
