📢NEWS FLASH: NALISS Week 2026 Ends in Grand Style at Federal University Wukari! 🎓⚽🎤
The campus of Federal University Wukari was buzzing with energy as the National Association of Library and Information Science Students (NALISS) celebrated their highly anticipated NALISS Week 2026.
Running from January 14th to 17th, the week was packed with intellectual discourse, vibrant awareness campaigns, spirited sports competitions, and entertainment.
🗓️ Event Highlights:
📢 Day 1: Advocacy & Awareness (Jan 14)
The week kicked off with a massive Rally and Awareness campaign. Students marched through the Faculty of Education and beyond, holding placards with powerful messages like "Information Literacy for Sustainable Development" and "From Print to Digital Libraries." It was a colorful display of departmental pride and professional advocacy.
🧠 Day 2: Intellectual Growth (Jan 15)
On Wednesday, the focus shifted to academics with a Symposium held at MPH4. Students and lecturers gathered for a session dedicated to the future of Library and Information Science, proving that NALISS scholars are as sharp in the classroom as they are active on the field.
🏆 Day 3: SPORTS UPDATE – The Underdogs Take the Cup! (Jan 16)
The highlight of the sporting events was the intense HOD's Cup. In a thrilling turn of events, the 100 Level Team emerged victorious! 🥇 Despite being the "freshers" on campus, they showed incredible grit and teamwork to defeat their seniors and lift the trophy.

✨ Day 4: Grand Finale (Jan 17)
The week concluded on a high note with the NALISS Day, Talent Hunt Show, and Award Night at the Green Canopy. From dance and comedy to music, students showcased their creative sides, wrapping up an unforgettable week of celebration.
