DAY 2: A Life Welcomed. Many Lives Touched.

Yesterday, during our Free Medical Outreach in Sarkin Kudu, Ibi LGA, we witnessed something unforgettable.

A beautiful baby girl was safely delivered through a Caesarean Section.

That moment, hearing her cry for the first time, reminded us why this work matters. Service is not statistics. It is life. It is hope. It is the future.

Here is the impact from this outreach:

📊 Dental Cases
✅ 16 Fillings
✅ 12 Extractions

📊 Surgical Cases
✅ 16 Hernia surgeries
✅ 3 Fibroid surgeries
✅ 1 Caesarean Section (a beautiful baby girl delivered safely)

📊 General Impact
✅ 1,275 people tested
✅ 956 received special medications
✅ 234 received injections

Unfortunately, we could not carry out all the surgeries required due to time and medical limitations. The need remains great — and it strengthens our resolve to do more.

This outreach was a huge success, not just because of the numbers, but because of the lives touched.

I am deeply grateful to our medical team, volunteers, and the entire community for their trust.

The Mathias Luka Agbu Foundation has consistently impacted lives, and without a doubt, our mantra remains: putting people first.
Today, in Sarkin Kudu, Ibi Local Government Area of Taraba State, we commenced a two-day free medical outreach aimed at improving access to quality healthcare for underserved communities.

Health is the foundation of every thriving society. When people are healthy, they can work productively, care for their families, and contribute meaningfully to community development.

Unfortunately, many rural communities face significant barriers to healthcare, including limited access to medical professionals, inadequate facilities, and the high cost of treatment. This outreach seeks to bridge that gap.

During this two-day program, residents are receiving free medical consultations, health screenings, essential medications, and professional advice from qualified healthcare practitioners. Special attention is being given to preventive care, early diagnosis, and health education.

At the Mathias Luka Agbu Foundation, we believe that healthcare is not a privilege but a basic human right. Our commitment goes beyond treatment — we are focused on restoring hope, strengthening communities, and ensuring that no one is left behind due to a lack of access to medical care.
