Moments from POST EYF ๐ŸŒ
Our Executive Director, Ameachi Gift, participated in high-level deliberations during POST EYF: the Global Consultation for the 2nd Independent Progress Study on Youth, Peace and Security (YPS). He also engaged in strategic dialogues with the Africa Caucus focused on advancing the United Nations Youth, Peace and Security agenda.
At Equilibrium Initiative Nigeria (EIN), we are committed to strengthening youth leadership and amplifying community voices across all levels so as to build a more inclusive and peaceful Nigeria where young people can thrive and contribute meaningfully to nation-building.

EIN is proud to celebrate Le***an Visibility Week.

Across the Niger Delta and Middle Belt, le***an individuals face unique challenges, from community stigma to restricted access to safe spaces.

Today, we reaffirm our commitment to amplifying their voices and advocating for a society where living authentically is a right, not a safety risk.

Together we rise to celebrate strength, pride, and the power of being seen. โœŠ๐Ÿพ๐ŸŒˆ

Amplifying the voices that move communities forward.

We are proud to share the highlights of our Side Event at ECOSOC on Youth-Led Localisation of Gender, Peace, and Security Frameworks.

This event served as a platform to centre youth-led solutions, ensuring that Gender, Peace, and Security frameworks are adapted and activated where they matter most at the heart of our communities.

We explored the intersection of policy and real-world impact, emphasising that when young people are equipped to lead, the entire continent moves forward.

Special thanks to our Speakers Ameachi Gift, Alima Taal, Gerardine Maryanne, and Peace Monica, our partners, and every young leader who joined the conversation. You are the evidence that a more secure and equitable Africa is not just possible, itโ€™s already being built.

Moments from the ECOSOC Youth Forum 2026 with our Executive Director, Onwuochei Ameachi Gift
EIN was born out of a simple yet powerful belief: that young people in Nigeria, especially those most marginalised, criminalised, and overlooked, deserve dignity, safety, access to healthcare, and a future free from fear.
That belief didn't stay in Nigeria. It travelled to New York this week.
At the ECOSOC Youth Forum, we presented a clear message: the road to 2030 must be rights-based, inclusive, and grounded in lived experience. Because the people whose exclusion is most systemic and most deliberate cannot be the ones left behind.

To everyone who has ever supported EIN, through donations, partnerships, advocacy, or simply sharing our work, you helped make this moment possible. Thank you.
We are just getting started.

๐Ÿ“ Highlights from our Human Rights Awareness Webinar for LGBTQI+ persons in the Niger Delta

Our session focused on equipping LGBTQI+ persons with the knowledge they need to navigate their daily realities safely.

Participants came together to learn, share, and ask critical questions, leaving with practical insights that can support their everyday safety and well-being.

This is what community-centred advocacy looks like: creating spaces where people are not only seen, but informed, empowered, and protected.

Weโ€™re proud to do this work and deeply grateful to everyone who showed up, engaged, and continues to stand with us.

๐ŸŒ EIN is heading to the United Nations!

We are proud to announce that our Executive Director, Ameachi Gift (He/Him), will be representing Equilibrium Initiative Nigeria at the 2026 United Nations Economic and Social Council Youth Forum, taking place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York from 14โ€“16 April 2026.

This yearโ€™s theme, โ€œInnovate, Unite and Transform: Youth Shaping the Road to 2030, deeply reflects our mission and the work we do every day.
At this global platform, Ameachi will elevate the lived experience of Nigeriaโ€™s most marginalised youth, advocating for inclusive, rights-based approaches and accelerated action toward the Sustainable Development Goals.

The journey to 2030 is a collective effort, and our voices should be at the centre of it. ๐Ÿ”น
