CALLED BEYOND YOUR CAPACITY
When God calls you to something bigger than your ability

INTRODUCTION
There are moments when God calls you to something that makes no sense based on your current capacity.
God gives you a vision that is bigger than your experience.
He puts a burden in your heart that is bigger than your resources.
He gives you an assignment that is bigger than your education.
He calls you to step into a place where your natural ability is simply not enough.
And when that happens, our first response is often:
“God, are You sure You have the right person?”
That is exactly what happened to Gideon.
Israel was being oppressed by the Midianites. Gideon wasn't standing in a palace. He wasn't leading an army. He wasn't preparing for war.
He was hiding.
Yet when the angel appeared, God said:
“The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.”�— Judges 6:12
Gideon probably looked around and wondered:
“Who, me?”
Because Gideon saw himself according to his capacity.
But God saw him according to his calling.
And that is the difference.
Your capacity describes where you are. Your calling reveals where God is taking you.
