Five years ago, our beloved Warri Kingdom witnessed a defining moment in history as Our Father and Monarch, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, the Olu of Warri Kingdom, ascended the ancient throne of our forebears. That historic day ushered in a reign distinguished by visionary leadership, service, unity, and an unwavering commitment to the progress of our Kingdom and its people.

As we look forward to commemorating this remarkable milestone, I warmly invite sons and daughters of Warri Kingdom, friends, partners, and well-wishers from around the world to join us in celebrating the 5th Coronation Anniversary of Our Father, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR.

From 14th to 23rd August 2026, Warri Kingdom will come alive with royal ceremonies, cultural displays, sporting events, and activities that reflect the rich heritage, resilience, and enduring spirit of our people.

This anniversary is more than a celebration of five years on the throne; it is an opportunity to honour a reign that continues to inspire hope, strengthen our unity, and advance the collective aspirations of the Warri Kingdom.

The Office of the Sole Representative of His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR and Liaison to NNPC Limited/JV Partners has released the names of 171 successful candidates shortlisted for the El-Totuoma Welding and Fabrication Technical Training Programme.

According to a notice issued on Thursday, July 9, 2026, all successful candidates are expected to participate in a documentation verification exercise scheduled for Monday, July 27 and Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

Candidates have been directed to present original or certified copies of the required documents, including a medical fitness certificate from a government/public hospital, proof of age, Local Government Area (LGA) certificate of origin, and a letter confirming Itsekiri heritage. Those with accommodation in Port Harcourt are also required to provide evidence.

The verification exercise will take place at Gladwyn Building by Emirate Plaza, opposite the Palace Field, along Olu Palace Road, Warri, Delta State, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.

The notice, signed by Prince Collins Oritsetimeyin Edema, Sole Representative of the Olu of Warri to NNPC Limited, advised all shortlisted candidates to complete their documentation ahead of the screening, warning that failure to provide the required documents may affect their participation in the training programme.

Shortlisted Itsekiri candidates continue to undergo screening and authentication for the UNIBEN Consultancy/Petro-Tracking Skills Training Programme, an empowerment initiative facilitated by Prince Edema Collins Oritsetimeyin, Sole Representative of His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR the Olu of Warri, to NNPCL/JV Partners.

The three-day exercise will conclude on July 2, after which successful candidates will proceed for training in Benin City, Edo State.

303 Itsekiri Candidates Undergo Screening for UNIBEN Consultancy/Petro-Tracking Training

The screening and authentication exercise for 303 shortlisted Itsekiri candidates seeking admission into the UNIBEN Consultancy/Petro-Tracking training programme is currently underway in Warri, Delta State.

The exercise, organised by Prince Edema Collins Oritsetimeyin, Sole Representative of His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR the Olu of Warri, to NNPCL/JV Partners, is taking place at the Gladwyn Building along Olu Palace Road, Warri.

The three-day screening exercise, which runs daily from June 30 to July 2, is being conducted in batches, with candidates attending on their individually assigned dates and time slots. The phased approach is designed to ensure a smooth and orderly authentication process for all 303 shortlisted applicants.

The programme is part of the Itsekiri Skills Training Programme and is designed to equip participants with practical technical and vocational skills in areas including pipeline inspection and NDT, natural gas processing, drilling operations, forklift operations, electrical and solar installation, and crop production.

Following the conclusion of the screening exercise on July 2, successful candidates will proceed to the UNIBEN Consultancy/Petro-Tracking training programme in Benin City, Edo State.
