Founded in 2001, Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme (ECEWS) is a leading and reputable indigenous non-profit organization that promotes access to qualitative healthcare, education, and economic strengthening opportunities for all Nigerians.
ECEWS' first intervention in healthcare was through a partnership with the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Akwa Ibom State Branch – ECEWS/Red Cross Initiative in 2002.
ECEWS is currently providing HIV treatment services to over 300,000 people living with HIV and AIDS (174,000 in Akwa Ibom). ECEWS is providing jobs for over 2000 full-time employees while supporting over 5000 volunteers. Its Malaria programme is supporting access to malaria diagnosis and treatment across Enugu State.
