Ibom Torchbearers Strengthens GOT2025 Week One with an Impactful Outreach to Lutheran Motherless Babies Home

As activities for the Gathering of Torchbearers 2025 (GOT2025) continue to unfold, the Ibom Universal Torchbearers added another strong highlight to its Week One schedule through a compassionate outreach to the Lutheran Motherless Babies Home, Ikot Otong Nsit, on Friday, 5th December 2025.

This visit formed part of the organisation’s broader Week One programme, which began with the President’s media appearance on the Scorecard Radio Programme on Memories 96.5FM. The outreach further reinforced the group’s commitment to the GOT2025 theme, “Lighting the way together: Empowering communities for Trans-Generational Progress.”

During the visit, Ibom Torchbearers donated essential staple food items to support the daily care of the children at the home. This gesture reflects the group’s founding philosophy of merging humanitarian service with leadership development as a strategic response to both immediate community needs and long-term social transformation.

The ongoing GOT2025 campaign emphasises collective participation as a pathway to sustainable empowerment. Ibom Torchbearers continues to advocate collaboration among individuals, institutions and corporate bodies, reaffirming that meaningful change is achievable when communities unite around a shared vision.

The organisation therefore calls on well-meaning partners, sponsors and contributors to support the GOT2025 agenda. Such involvement will scale ongoing interventions, strengthen humanitarian outreach and advance leadership initiatives aimed at promoting social change and environmental responsibility.

With the momentum gained in Week One, Ibom Torchbearers remains focused on lighting a trail of hope, service and trans-generational impact as GOT2025 progresses into Week Two of its four-week detailed schedule for December.

IBOM TORCHBEARERS SET TO FLAG OFF GOT2025 WITH RADIO INTERVIEW AND HUMANITARIAN OUTREACH

The Ibom Torchbearers Humanitarian Initiative wishes to inform members of the public that the Gathering of Torchbearers 2025 (GOT2025) officially kicks off today, Friday 5 December 2025, with a special live radio interview on Memories 96.5FM from 11am to 12pm.

This year’s theme, “Lighting the Way Together: Empowering Communities for Trans-Generational Progress,” reflects the organisation’s commitment to compassion, shared responsibility, and sustainable leadership development.

As part of the opening activities, the Ibom Torchbearers will embark on a humanitarian visit to the Orphanage Home in Ikot Otong Nsit. This outreach forms part of the group’s mission to uplift vulnerable communities, strengthen social support systems, and inspire active youth participation in service-driven leadership.

The President of the Ibom Torchbearers, Ephraim Udoakpan, stated that GOT2025 is more than an event; it is a call to action for every citizen to contribute to a culture of humanity, accountability, and community transformation.

The initiative is proudly supported by partners including Ibom Gist Media, Guiding Light Humanitarian Foundation, GoldenBridge Innovation & Strategies Ltd, Soar World Media, Demson Confectionery & Food Stores, Diamond Judy TV, alongside several other responsible organisations and kind-hearted individuals.

The management of Guiding Light Foundation wishes to inform the public that our organisation has been officially registered in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission under the name Guiding Light Humanitarian Foundation.

This registration marks a significant step in our mission to serve humanity with compassion, integrity, and sustainable impact.

We are pleased to announce that, by December, the Foundation will launch its first impact project focused on supporting widows and vulnerable children across Akwa Ibom State. This initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to uplifting lives and restoring hope where it is needed most.
