Prince Ukeme Ukpong Mega Foundation Celebrates World Humanitarian Day with Special Dinner, Reaffirms Commitment to Humanitarian Service
On Wednesday August 19, 2026, the Prince Ukeme Ukpong Mega Foundation commemorated the 2026 World Humanitarian Day with a special dinner held at Ebonguko Hall, Monty Suites, Uyo, bringing together members of the Foundation, distinguished guests, and leading voices from Akwa Ibom’s creative community.
The special dinner provided an opportunity for the Foundation to celebrate the spirit of humanitarianism, reflect on its impact over the years, and reaffirm its commitment to initiatives that improve lives and create opportunities for individuals and communities.
In attendance were Mr. Leo Leo Umana, Mc Teazer, President of the Guild of Content Creators, Akwa Ibom State, who led a delegation of celebrated content creators to grace the occasion. Their participation added a strong creative and media dimension to the celebration, highlighting the important role of storytelling and digital media in amplifying humanitarian causes and documenting social impact.
Speaking during the event, the Chancellor of the Foundation, Prince Ukeme Ukpong emphasized that humanitarianism goes beyond responding to immediate needs; it is also about creating sustainable pathways through which people can build better lives and communities. Prince Ukeme Ukpong also assured that the Prince Ukeme Ukpong Mega Foundation will continue through its core areas of Education Support, Youth Empowerment, Grants, and Community Development, to invest in people and create opportunities for individuals to achieve their potential.
The dinner also served as a moment of fellowship among members of the Foundation, celebrating the shared values that drive its humanitarian mission while encouraging greater commitment to service and community impact.
