Exactly one week ago, Teens Evolve Nation partnered with Faith Peters of The Balanced Ladies Network for The Renewed Ladies Outreach targeted at female teenagers and Teen moms...
The Outreach is set to be a 3 months project where Teenagers will get to learn a skill of their choice in order to support themselves and their kids too(for the teen moms) financially. The aim is to Renew, Restore and Raise teenagers who will heal from past hurt, correct their mistake and be a better version of themselves.
This project clearly aligns with two of our primary focuses at Teens Evolve Nation, which are; Promoting Good physical and mental health amongst Teenagers, especially Teen moms and Skill Hub, our poverty eradication scheme. Hence, the need for this partnership.
During the onboarding event which held on Saturday, I had the privilege of speaking to the teenagers. It was a message to ignite lost dreams, desires and passion in them and to let them know that they can be whatever they were destined to be irrespective of the experiences they once had.
✅ I also told those who had given birth that the pregnancy could have been a mistake but the child is not and shouldn't be treated as one.
✅I made them understand that there is a standard for success that won't be changed because of the situations they're facing, the more reason they need to dust themselves and keep moving.
✅ I emphasized the point to them that it is important to heal from past wounds and hurts in order to fully BECOME and so they won't end up passing lessons from unhealed wounds to the next generation
✅ I made them understand that having boundaries doesn't make you loose out, rather it displays your queenship. As such, they should never feel bad for saying NO or setting boundaries
✅ I told them that life doesn't fight you at your current level, but at the level of your potentials. That they're going through alot, means that there's alot in them the world needs.
✅ And finally, I also made them understand that the baton has been passed to us and we don't have any excuse to fail
I must commend Mama Faith Peters for having the teenage girls in mind and putting up such a fantastic project. I believe that at the end of the project, the objectives will be achieved and evidently seen in their lives. A big thank you to my mentor, Mr Paul Udah who always guide me in every decision I take and stands to see that we keep growing. God bless you Sir 🙏🙇
